Ritmica 🪩 by François Rappo @jfrappo Unfolding with personality and clarity, Ritmica immediately feels essential and authentic. Its character draws from an early modernist candor, expressed through subtle, potent features rather than overt display. Ritmica’s paced recurrence of forms create a hypnotic, almost magnetic, texture. You can try Ritmica via our link in bio 🌐 Animation coded by Elodie Anglade @elodidthat

Ritmica ✨ by François Rappo @jfrappo Aligned with mid-century grotesque traditions through its horizontal terminals and straightforward stance, Ritmica reveals a unique personality beneath its seemingly plain forms. It is distinguished by a series of idiosyncratic details, most notably the unusually almost-sealed negative spaces in the a, e, and s, forming a clasp-like relationship between letterforms and counterforms. Executive in use by Wolfe Hall @wolfehall.studio for Dirty Looks: Desire and Decay in Fashion @barbicancentre ‘Dirty Looks’ explores how dirt and decay have been used to defy beauty standards, and why it’s going through a resurgence in young designers’ work. As a counterpoint to glossy digital perfection, these varied practices point us to a new way of thinking about a sustainable fashion future. A 112 page gallery guide accompanies the show containing floorplans and extended caption information. The book is printed with numerous cover variations, layering dirt over the text to echo the hand-rendered title treatment within the exhibition design. The uncoated white board will get stained and marked as its handled, adding to these layers of grime. FLW Reply for the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy @savewrightflwbc 💚🤎💙 commissioned by Order @order.design.nyc . Order selected our typeface Reply, designed by François Rappo @jfrappo to serve as the primary voice of the identity. Reply draws direct inspiration from the refined texture of Frank Lloyd Wright’s correspondences, produced using a typewriter version of Vogue Intertype. We reworked Reply with custom alternate characters and renamed it FLW Reply, bringing the typeface full circle: back home to the work and the words of Frank Lloyd Wright that once inspired it.
