We are learning that doing meaningful work also means taking care of the people behind it. That’s why our team had a Mental Wellness Session facilitated by Dr. Maymunah Kadiri. It was a safe space to talk openly, and have honest conversations around our mental wellbeing in our personal lives that also reflects in how we work. Big thank you to @iamdrmay for sharing her time and insights with the team at Optimal Greening. #OptimalGreening #iamdrmay #MentalHealth #Sustainability #CapacityBuilding

Capacity building is central to the sustainability of Project SWIFT. At Optimal Greening, we believe lasting impact goes beyond infrastructure. True sustainability happens when communities are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources to take ownership of their future. Through the training of residents, including Facility Management Teams (FMT) and WASH Committees (WASHCOMM), Isiwu and Eginrin Ekun communities have gained the capacity to maintain, manage, and protect their facilities for the long term. More importantly, these trainings have built confidence, strengthened community ownership, and transformed lives in the process. This is what sustainable impact looks like. #ProjectSWIFT #OptimalGreening #CommunityDevelopment #Sustainability #CapacityBuilding

In Isiwu and Eginrin Ekun communities, access to clean water was not only a water challenge, it is also an energy challenge. Without stable electricity, water systems struggle to function consistently, leaving communities vulnerable to unreliable access. This is why for Project SWIFT we adopted a sustainable energy solution capable of guaranteeing uninterrupted operations. By powering the water infrastructure with renewable solar energy, the system is designed to ensure reliable, round-the-clock access to clean water for residents while reducing dependence on unstable electricity sources and lowering long-term operational costs. We are proud that Nextworks installed the solar component of Project SWIFT and joined our growing network of technical partners committed to driving sustainable community development. Thank you, Nextworks, for contributing to a future where clean energy and clean water work hand in hand to transform lives. #ProjectSWIFT #OptimalGreening #WASH #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability

Naston Engineering, a repeat technical partner from the Agala WASH Project, constructed 4 fetching stations across the Isiwu and Eginrin-Ekun communities. Why does this matter? To reduce the time and stress spent fetching water by extending access beyond the base station, bringing clean water closer to more people. The result? Project SWIFT now delivers clean water through 4 functional fetching kiosks + 2 base station fetching points across both communities, improving daily life and promoting sustainable access for all. #ProjectSWIFT #WASH #Sustainability #CommunityImpact #OptimalGreening

Vitol Foundation made a donation to Project SWIFT. Their contribution has played a vital role in the success of the project. Their contribution funded the drilling of two boreholes in both Isiwu and Eginrin Ekun communities. The drilling was executed by Hydrogenesis, a trusted technical partner returning after their successful collaboration on the Agala WASH Project. Thanks to these partners, Project SWIFT is delivering positive social impact and restore dignity to over 9000 individuals. Thank you Vitol Foundation Thank you Hydrogenesis #OptimalGreening #VitolFoundation #Hydrogenesis #WASH #ProjectSWIFT

Project SWIFT has been commissioned! 🎉 16 implementing months. 2 communities. 1 clear need. It started with a simple but important question: what do the communities truly need? The answer was undeniable: Access to clean, safe water. There were setbacks along the way, but we kept going. We listened, we learned, we planned, and we showed up again and again. Today, that commitment has become reality. A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible. Your support, dedication, and belief in this vision brought Project SWIFT to life. #ProjectSWIFT #OptimalGreening #WASH #Sustainability #SDG6

Tomorrow, we commission Project SWIFT. What started as a vision to improve water access, sanitation, and environmental sustainability has become something real, impactful, and deeply meaningful. Project SWIFT means access to clean, safe water. It means healthier communities. It means restored dignity. It means time saved and new opportunities created, especially for women, girls, and children. With just one day to go, we can’t help but feel a sense of pride and gratitude because it marks the beginning of a new chapter for Isiwu and Eginrin Ekun communities in Ikorodu North. Stay with us… there’s more to come. #ProjectSWIFT #WASH #Sustainability #CommunityImpact #OptimalGreening

In celebration of International Earth Day, Optimal Greening is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a grant from the @bakerhughesco Foundation. This critical funding for Access to Improved Management of Water in Epe (AIM-EPE) Project will transform water access and enhance quality of life for over 2,000 direct beneficiaries, especially for women and girls who are disproportionately impacted by inadequate WASH services in Isale Agoro. The project will improve health outcomes, restore dignity, unlock economic opportunities, and promote environmental sustainability within the community. Thank you to Baker Hughes Foundation and the Renew Community of Interest Employee Network. We are deeply grateful for this meaningful support and for believing in our vision. #EarthDay #OptimalGreening #WeAreBakerHughes #CommunityDevelopment #Sustainability

The PROBLEM Isiwu and Eginrin-Ekun Community in Ikorodu North have long relied on little to no access to clean water which has put hundreds of residents in the community, especially women and children at risk. The PROCESS After thorough community needs assessment, we deployed a solar-powered water system designed to provide access to clean water, and improve overall wellbeing for the communities. The OUTCOME The infrastructure is standing. The communities have been trained and the work is nearly complete. Project SWIFT is almost at the finish line and we are proud of every step it took to get here. #WASH #ProjectSWIFT #OptimalGreening #CommunityDevelopment #SDG6
