A room for us to trip in 🪸 A wholesome collaborative effort with @kushlet , @tek_dek , @kaydiii___ to celebrate @readtheroom.in ’s 1st birthday. We gave the space at @live.at.social a full makeover through a bespoke psy-inspired stage design, projection-mapped visuals, and custom-made overhanging canopies designed by Kushlet and Optikbloom. To mark this special occasion, @tek_dek took us on a spectacular psychedelic journey, playing an open-to-close set for the very first time. His music also informed the ambience and visual language: we wanted to showcase our own spin on psytrance visuals, by modernizing its signature aesthetics that have been popularized by festivals and parties across the world. His raucous DJing, hurtling through deep psy, mutant bass, jittery breaks, tekky dubstep, and much more, dissolves genre boundaries to spawn a shapeshifting sonic organism that is entirely his own. *Experiments with mesh mapping for @readtheroom.in x @satori.av BLR, Feb 2026* . . . We set off with a goal to merge the creative visions of both read the room and satori, to create an intimate cozy setting for an audio-visual gathering that facilitated locking in (or zoning out). Through a happy accident, we discovered that a transparent steel mesh could be an interesting surface for mapping and projections – with subtle veil-like qualities that are not overtly loud yet allow light to shine through. The audio experience for this night was guided by @andygarvey – known for her deep hypnotic sounds layered with psychedelic elements – and complemented by @vishalunni and @kaydiii___ The mesh surface and the music provided the perfect setting to accompany visuals that were vivid and iridescent, yet blended into the night. @live.at.social #musicvisuals #projectionmapping #rave #touchdesigner #stagedesign
