We're so proud to welcome @friendsofmemorial to the OPIA family, and even prouder to share what we've been making together. Jack and Oliver have been making music together for over a decade, finding each other in a Brighton rehearsal room one Halloween and never really stopping. Some of you will already know them from @olafurarnalds & @thisistalos "We Didn't Know We Were Ready". That song is where our journey with them began, sparked by a week at @soundsfromasafeharbour . Before long they were in Ólafur's studio in Reykjavík, recording live, as heavy snowfall sealed them in from the outside world. Today we share the first thing that came from that time. 'Teeth' is about the disorienting feeling of happiness that doesn't quite feel like home, holding joy and anxiety at exactly the same time. It is fragile, cinematic, and the most honest thing they've made. We're so glad it's finally out in the world. Listen now via the link in bio. This is only the beginning! @h.t.a.k.a.h.a.s.h.i is a Tokyo-based composer and the founder of the record store and label @kankyo_records I had the pleasure of meeting and hearing H.Takahashi at @eachstory2026 Festival in Japan. I found his ambient set in the middle of a wooded area so inspiring for how boldly minimal and spacious it was, and I can really hear his concept of music coming through in the wonderful rework he’s done for ‘Norton’.
