A year ago I started writing “Love War” in one of my old projects, around a vocal that said “I love you and nothing will change”. The project was going well, but I decided to start over and just keep the vocal. I started to develop the track and by surprise, flamenco came into my life. I had never been able to appreciate such art and virtuosity, it just fascinated me. At that moment, the idea of merging these two styles emerged, and I thought, why not? I went crazy trying to figure out how to fuse these styles together. I tried Spanish guitars, but they didn't fit the rhythm, and putting them in the breakdown seemed too useful. I tried pure “flamenco” samples, but couldn't find a way to fit them to the style. Suddenly, I found some drums called “War Drums”. They sounded really good and gave it the character I was looking for. Later, I built the acid to complete the fusion of a techno track with the “flamenco” essence. When I fully developed it, it seemed like the perfect track. In its naming, I took advantage of two parts of its process: “Love War”. My intention has always been to reflect "the war of love", but never to "to love war". War is a dreadful situation which results in the suffering in innocent people. The only war that should exist is "the war of love".
One of my goals with music has always been to tell stories and to express my emotions, or the situations I experience.
“Love War” is accompanied by "Catwoman Spotlight", one of my most special tracks and the one I love the most. “Track for The Apocalypse” was made during the first lockdown. To add the finishing touch, my admired friend
@slugos lent himself to make a spectacular remix. A remix in which you can see the talent of a person I admire and respect for a long time.
The release was scheduled for February 25th, a date that history set out to mark in black. I do not want to compare my situation with that of the people who are suffering the greatest cruelty in humanity. The recent weeks have been difficult and its hard to find meaning. We canceled everything to focus on payin attention to what was really important.
