Images don’t do the #ryojiikeda experience at @180.studios justice, but I love the simplicity and execution of these two ideas (back to back in the exhibition).
Both surfaces have a really clever application of paint, in conjunction with the projection and ARRI light, which fool the eye in the most crazy ways. Genius simplicity.
Valentine’s Day iceberg. Discovered in the garden as the cold begins to thaw. Incredible structure and air bubbles — you can see the horizontal strata where more water has frozen each day. And now it just gently sits there, slowly becoming liquid again as the temperature increases. Beautiful.

Hugely exciting to attend a live concert with a real audience for the first time since February. Found the whole experience very moving.
Congratulations to all that have made the London Guitar Festival 2020 go ahead, despite everything. It was wonderful to hear a new @ledrewett commission in person, played beautifully by @pavel.ralev
New pizza stone worked a treat @season_cookshop - thanks for the suggestion! Slowing becoming happier with the results, and this loaf had by far the best taste and flavour of any I've baked so far.

We went on a lovely expedition yesterday to visit the Ankerwycke Yew in Runnymede. It was an amazing experience to stand beneath this 2500-year-old tree, under which the Magna Carta is believe to have been signed. Some amazing bark and burls, which I tried my best capture - the surface of the tree is just extraordinary!

Sunday afternoon walk in Aldeburgh. Enjoyed the landscape as always, Maggie Hambling's Britten sculpture, the wildflowers and friendly brown cows - we sang some Bruckner to them. #aldeburghbeach #britten #sculpture
