This was a long needed reunion with the apprentice @bensonblades Will came up with a list of different items they had been dreaming of making. I had never heard or read the words Kasarigama. When I looked it up, my knee jerk reaction was total dismissal of it being practical at all. Alas, after seeing that it was made for over 400 years, I dove deeper, finding that it was actually really effective at defeating swords. Here’s the newest addition to my @ooakforge family, the Dryad. absolutely stunning work by @ashley.anodized.it , the handles look and feel exactly like wood and the blade transports you into a mystical forest just looking at it. These models are all aluminum, a little shorter, and while there is a sharp edge it’s not easy to be cut by it, so we consider these to be trainers. 'Za Demon' Wow, what a labor of love this piece was. I've decided to auction this on Instagram during @blade_show . Auction will begin on June 2 and end June 4th at 12 pm Eastern. I'd like to submit it to the Juried exhibition at Blade and show it off as much as possible. I know y'all chomping for more Slayers, and I hear ya. I've been working on a lot of non knife prop work like a giant as football for the NFL. That being said, I am so stoked to be concentrating on my Bali project with @jk__design , pizza related items, and ideally more passion driven projects like this beast.
