When we started the brick-and-mortar version of Hella Pie Pizza 2.0, one thing we knew we wanted to offer was pizza by the slice đ â because at the time, it really wasnât something our area had embraced yet.
Over the years, itâs become the standard for many new pizza concepts, and weâre proud to have helped push that culture forward here in the 209.
But for us, it was never about chasing market share or building a brand just to sell pizza. It was about creating something for our community. Weâre locals cooking for locals. People serving the same streets we grew up on.
Thatâs why every slice means something to us. Itâs not just food â itâs part of the culture we set out to build together.
The 2025 Real California Pizza Contest Winner, the Hellapeño Zaâpper, is back this week. đ„đ„
Inspired by the classic bacon-wrapped jalapeño popper and influenced by our original neighbors at @speerbbq , this pizza was created to showcase the incredible ingredients and producers that make California special. With support from California dairy farmers and locally sourced ingredients, the Hellapeño Zaâpper took home the win in the Innovation Category at the Real California Pizza Contest.
Since day one, our mission has been to create something the community can proudly call its own â pizza rooted in the 209, built for the 209.
Every bite tells that story. From the cottage bacon by @thelongranch , to the hot honey from @redbarnranchfoods , all highlighted by the rich and creamy Gina Marie cream cheese from @sierranevadacheese .
