🔥🗣️ THIS IS WHAT RESTORATIVE JUSTICE LOOKS LIKE 🔥📌 On Tuesday, February 17th we’re turning competition into connection at @pjacc_eny — and the whole community is invited. This is bigger than basketball. This is collaboration. This is healing. This is youth, families, and officers all sharing the same court, the same space and the same vision. 🏀 Youth Game – 3PM 🏀 High School Game – 4:30PM 🏀 MAIN EVENT – Community vs. NYPD’s Finest – 6PM ALL DAY we’ll have activities, resources, and opportunities for all ages. From mentorship to valuable opportunities that lead to real success. Huge appreciation to every organization working together to make this happen. When community leaders, city partners, and youth step into the same arena with purpose, powerful things happen. This is what accountability + opportunity looks like. We’re not just talking about change, we’re creating the space to allow it to take shape. LET’S GET THE DUB, FAM 😤 Pull up. Show love and let’s get a WIN for the Home Team. #RestorativeJustice #CommunityOverConflict #ManUp #DYCD #BKNetWork

Peace Week NYC is a citywide commitment to nonviolence rooted in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s belief that our communities deserve to live without fear. Peace Week takes place every year from January 15 to January 22. For seven days, New York City moves with intention, lifting community voices, honoring lives lost, and calling on all of us to protect life and move differently. Today we officially kick off the 16th year of New York City Peace Week at City Hall. This is a new era of peace because peace cannot be symbolic anymore. It has to be practiced, defended, and led by the community. We are recognizing the NYC Crisis Management System ecosystem and violence intervention partners whose work has been happening for decades and has helped reduce violence across New York City, including record progress in 2025. Community played a role and that matters. Peace Week is for people who believe in peace, who are tired of violence and division, and who are ready to stand for nonviolence, dignity, and life. It is for community leaders, youth, faith leaders, violence interrupters, CMS partners, and all New Yorkers who know peace is a shared responsibility. We are grateful to Deputy Council Speaker Dr. Nantasha Williams for her leadership and support in making it possible for us to gather at City Hall today. This is what a new era of peace looks like. Community leads. Peace follows. #PeaceWeek2026 #PeaceWeekNYC #PeaceIsALIFEstyle #CommunityLeadsPeaceFollows #Nonviolence #NYCCommunity

We had the privilege to host for the last two days to Stop the bleed response to training with the leadership of @nycyouth @ons__nyc and as a part of the @nyc_cms and with the Cure Violence groups. Oftentimes our community members are the first responders in community violence situations, so trainings have been conducted in preparation for the safe J'vourt and Labor Day parade deployments. Special Thank you to all the groups, organizations and community members that came out to participate. Thank to all the instructors medical professionals, EMS, EMT and New York City first responders. We'll see you out there!
