𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘵.. 𝐇.𝐎.𝐌.𝐄 (𝐇ᵒˡᵈⁱⁿᵍ 𝐎ᵘʳ 𝐌ᵉᵐᵒʳⁱᵉˢ 𝐄ᵛᵉʳʸᵈᵃʸ) is a series of events that explores the home as a living archive of diasporic memory, bonding, care and ways of being. What does it mean to build a home, and through it, how might we sustain and nurture each other? Across four weekends in November 2025, artists are invited to open their homes in Helsinki as intimate spaces for holding grief, pleasure, and solidarity. Through collective cooking, sewing, listening, and reimagining, everyday gestures and rituals that anchor us become practices of home-making, community care and resistance against a world that increasingly urges assimilation. The one-on-one performances centre on the subjectivities of racialized queer bodies in spaces, opening up to other bodies, as a way of resistance and claiming back public spaces. In this performance, Phan draws attention to the hands as the embodiment of care, trust and intimacy through the act of hand pampering and nail polishing. Participants will be guided through a conversation that navigates shared lived experiences, memories and affects on identity, queerness, and belonging. *The one-on-one participartory performance is intended for QTBIPOC. Phantasmagoria is an invitation to a shadowy sonic voyage, channeling the darker echoes of their lived experiences and the current collective consciousness. Emerging from diverse influences, Phantasmagoria is both confrontational and healing, weaving together ethereal and dark ambients, distorted textures, echoes of Eastern sounds, and cinematic undertones.

Situated in Kohta kunsthalle – a part of the former historical slaughterhouse of Helsinki, two cyborg workers are programmed to serve the gallery visitors with Cocktail 1203. Inspired by shadow puppetry and cinema, the performance reflects on the extraction and invisibility of labor in an increasingly exploitative system that deems bodies as commodities. Phan Nguyen is a Helsinki-based visual and performing artist from Vietnam who works with lens-based media, installation, and performance. Their practice often comes from their personal experiences to explore the realm of memories, dreams, fantasies, and belonging under socio-political lens. Trang Chung is a video director and editor whose emotionally driven work blends technology, collage, and sound to explore identity, culture, and places. Persona reflects on the ways marginalized individuals and communities often craft personas as protective masks to navigate hostile environments, societal expectations and discrimination. Simultaneously, can moments of self-expression and masks unveiling challenge dominant narratives and become radical acts of defiance and empowerment? Highlighting the interplay between adopting and unveiling personas, the event celebrates the creativity and strength of marginalized communities as they navigate and resist different systems of oppression.
