The holiday season took me a little fast, so this post is a bit tardyā¦but my gratitude remains timelessš¤
Every year, it is such an honor to choreograph the
@lralphadebs Debutante Ball. What makes this experience so special to me is that the majority of the debutantes, presenters, and escorts do not identify as dancers⦠yet they show up, trust the process, and allow me to guide them through something completely outside of their comfort zone.
These momentsāthe rehearsals, the questions, the laughs, the corrections, the confidence slowly building āare just as meaningful as the final performance. By the time they step on the floor, theyāre not just executing choreography⦠theyāre owning it.
To the debutantes, presenters, and escorts: thank you for your commitment, your openness, and your willingness to grow. Watching you transform from rehearsal to performance is something I hold close to my heart š„¹
And to the men of Alpha Phi Alpha
@pilambdaalphas , thank you for entrusting me with such a meaningful and visible part of this tradition. I never take lightly the responsibility of shaping a moment that carries so much legacy, pride, and purpose.
I donāt talk about it often, but this experience will always have a very special place in my heart.šāØ
