In this computer game opera, the interdisciplinary duo 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗲 play two 3D avatars on a surreal quest for meaning in a simulated underworld. The performers navigate their avatars through landscapes inspired by Dante’s “Inferno”, or games like “Half-Life” and “Final Fantasy”. Using real-time motion tracking and hyperpop-inspired autotune vocals with electronics, two performers on stage control two avatars in a game engine on their existential search for meaning and purpose – as we follow them on their descent into death and non-existence. Today, Only Slime were nominated for the 2026 Hedda Award for audiovisual design in 𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥. Congratulations to Claudia Cox and Tobi Pfeil for a well-deserved award! The Hedda Awards is known as the Norwegian theatre world’s equivalent of the Oscars. It’s taken some days to let this sink in…we are so honoured to be on @norskshakespearetidsskrift @klassekampenas list of ‘25 best stage performances’ in Norway since year 2000 with our computer game opera AFTERLIFE! 🎉🙏🐣❤️‍🔥 It’s surreal and also incredibly motivating to find ourselves mentioned next to some of the most influential performing artists in the world. We had an amazing time playing for a beautiful audience in Trondheim at @rosendalteater & @teks.no Meta.Morf festival this weekend, and we’re extremely excited to make several new pieces and share them in Norway and internationally over the next 5 years..! Thank you to the readers that nominated us, and the jury that took their time to dive into the circles of AFTERLIFE ❤️🌸☀️🌱 And to all the venues and festivals and curators that have been with us on this journey. My eyebrow is raised as I’m extremely happy and grateful to have received a 2-year Norwegian government grant for artists! 🍾🌸🚀❤️‍🔥 From the bottom of my heart thank you for the trust in my work and for offering time and resources to dive deeper @statenskunstnerstipend @kulturdir . It means so much. As always, I will keep on pushing and doing my best to create exciting new worlds to get lost and found in🪐🌍🌒 There are new projects coming up with @only.sliime in the next few years that I can’t wait to share, and you’re invited👾👾❤️‍🔥💀🌱🌸

This week I’m incredible grateful to have received two years of the Norwegian artist working grant 🤍 Thank you, @kulturdir @statenskunstnerstipend 💌 I feel incredibly lucky, and deeply aware of the privilege of now being a Norwegian citizen, held by a system that chooses to support art like this. When I got the news we were working until 3am, building our latest installation at @fact_liverpool , pushing through: like so many artists, just trying to stay afloat, to pay rent, to keep going. I’m in the middle of a big shift creatively and in life and these news couldn’t have come at a better time. To do a 360.. from being a timid classical violinist to becoming a not so timid interdisciplinary artist working with composing, theatre, opera, staging our works, making games, and now art?? Pinch me. I’m proud. I am so grateful to receive the most important thing. Time. and the privilege to take risk. At the same time, my heart is with everyone who hasn’t been as lucky this time. I have been there so many times, felt rejected and stuck. I can only urge you to keep going. Your work and your voice matters. Life for the next years is dedicated to @only.sliime . SO Excited for what we’re brewing, where we’re going and years of growth. 🧚🪺🪲🔮🦘🤍🏰🦢🔮
