On Ice Perspectives ❄️🎥

After several weeks of non-stop travel, I finally have time to look back at the amazing experience I had filming at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games. It was an honor and a privilege to have been hand-picked by Olympic Broadcasting Services to become the first ever figure skating camera operator for the Games, and elevate the broadcast for the entire world. I couldn’t have done this without the support of all the skaters, coaches, clubs, federations, show producers and fans who have encouraged and stood by my work every step of the way. Together, we brought a new angle of figure skating to the world, and revealed these athletes up close as real people, with real emotions and real heart. I look forward to the next time I get to do this on the world stage. Until then, and as always, I’ll keep bringing my perspective to skaters of all ages, levels and backgrounds. Legacy on Ice 🕊️. Earlier this month, I had the immense honor and privilege to be a part of the production of Legacy on Ice, the tribute show held in D.C. at Capital One Arena to honor the lives lost in the Flight 5342 disaster. This fundraising skating show, featuring the very best skaters in America, raised over $1.2 million within hours—not only for the victims’ families but also for the fire department and first responders who worked tirelessly in the aftermath. I’m incredibly grateful to U.S. Figure Skating, Monumental Sports, Red Brick, and Entertainment Gang for trusting me to film this event with sensitivity and care. A huge thank you to photographer Jason Andrew from The New York Times, who provided me with the first eight images. The remaining twelve are screen grabs from my on ice broadcast camera. Filming an event like this on the ice was a huge responsibility, and I was proud to share the ice with so many of my incredible friends in the sport, helping them look their best as they honored those we knew and lost. The Olympians of tomorrow competed this week in Tallinn, Estonia, at the ISU Junior World Championships, where Team USA ice dancers Hana Maria Aboian & Daniil Veselukhin @team_hana.daniil just won the Gold in Ice Dance. Late last year I had the pleasure of filming Hana & Daniils’ Free Dance, titled “The Goddess Nike and her Sculptor”, one early morning at the Bank of America Winter Village in @bryantparknyc . “[Our coach] Denis got the vision for the program after last year’s JGP Ankara as he was looking at the Nike Statue on the family trip with Melissa and their kids after the competition. The story is that Nike is molded into shape by her sculptor and as he gazes at her, her heart starts beating. Once she comes to the life, they go on a journey and she brings him victory in battle.
