It isn’t everyday a student passes a gold test.
Sophie is my latest @usfigureskating Gold Medalist, passing her Westminster Waltz to finish out her gold solo pattern dance test. But what makes this even more special is that Sophie is the first skater in any discipline I have taken from prelim to gold. I am so incredibly proud of Sophie and how hard she has worked these past 18 months. Through all of the challenges and triumphs she has remained focused and determined.
And of course a massive thank you to Sophie’s longtime coach Amy for asking me to work with Sophie on dance.

A great weekend in Finland with @shinleicase capturing the bronze at the Helsinki Solo Ice Dance International. She kicked off her season with solid debuts of two new programs and her first ever international medal. 🥉⛸️

January 2026 marks a decade of Louis. Those who know him, tolerate him… just kidding (kind of.)
Seeing everyone’s 2016 posts has made me look back on a year that really was the catalyst for me to end up where I am today. And by my side, sometimes a bit too close for comfort, has been this black and white fur ball, who I am very grateful for, even though he clearly loves @timtastic92 more than he’ll ever love me.
