Four kids. One World Observatory. Lunch at One Dine 102 floors up. And it completely WOWed us.
I spend a lot of time researching, planning, and hoping it’s going to be worth it. This one was.
A few things to know before you go:
Give yourself 2-3 hours minimum. This is not a rush-through kind of experience. I was genuinely surprised by how long the boys just stood at the windows — I had to pull them away. Let them take it in.
Kids 5 and under get in free, which is a huge win if you’ve got little ones.
The elevator ride up is part of the experience — they walk you through how New York was built on the way to the top. All four kids were completely mesmerized. Then you hit the top and the city just stretches out in every direction. There’s nothing like watching your kids see it for the first time.
Then One Dine. I’ll be honest — it’s not cheap. But the portions are generous, the food actually delivered, and the views alone made it worth every penny to us. If you want to save a little, skip the cocktails and mocktails. But if you can swing it — splurge. The drinks were amazing.
Would we go back? Absolutely — but next time at night. I have a feeling that’s a completely different experience and now I need to find out.
Worth it. 100%. 🗽
Save this for when you’re ready to plan it!

How incredible is this view?
I got the opportunity to work with @oneworldnyc to capture the night sky like it's never been seen before from the top of the World Trade Center and it did not disappoint!
I decided to capture it as part of my ongoing project "Buried In Light" to showcase what the city might look like if we could see the stars. For me, this shot combines old world charm, the vibrancy of the city and the cosmos all in a single take.
To achieve this I created a two pass composite, both the city timelapse plate and Astro plate were then merged together in Resolve and combined to see what you see now. I shot this on the @sonyalpha A7V with 24-70mm II because I wanted to use all 16 stop of dynamic range and resolution to create these composite timelapse shots.
