It’s been just over a month since “matutara” dropped and I cannot be more thankful for all the positive feedback and reception to the project.
I didn’t expect it to catch on as quickly as it did, but I now know that when you create without an agenda others can pick up on that energy immediately and the rest follows accordingly.

Shout out to my brothers @scnd_thought and @inkswel and all the guests and producers who carved out time from their own busy schedules (dad life!!!) to help me shape it all together and being in my corner every step of the way, while not letting me get in my own way…..
I normally sit on ideas for projects and overthink instead of going with the flow and not dwelling on when the right moment to drop an album is. It felt right to give it to the world (you) on my birthday and the gift (you) has been giving since.
Thank you to all of you who have listened on loop and taken time to unpack what the lyrics may mean (I admit that “kujenga” is a song about nothing…but it’s a fuckin’ banger so you’re welcome hahahahaha)! I really appreciate it, especially in these days and times when nonsense is being spewed everywhere, making time for mine is a privilege so I am eternally grateful.
We will be hosting our album launch at @revolverupstairs on the 29th of May, presented by @union_heights , @burn__________ and @innertriberecords (tickets can be found here ———-> )alongside a whole host of rollercoaster riders, namely @thndo.music@bloomymeadows , @zoodaka , @willy_dynamo , DJs @inkswel , @scnd_thought and Alex Vieira and some special guests throughout the night.
I have the incredible @taios_productions alongside @zedsixofficial and @smallspacemusic (Mpaphi’s Trio) as my backing band and I can assure you that you are not going to see a show like this anywhere else and possibly ever again.
