I wanted to simulate the holy grail day-night hyperlapse. I’ve been creating some motion design/vfx focused ads for a client, really trying to create different/signature visuals. Definitely the best shot of the entire trip. Blow Hole, Hawaii ⛵️ ⠀ ⠀ 📝 THE SHOOT @canonaustralia Travelling solo around Hawaii. I met a group of Aussies and hired a car to this cliff diving spot. Shot from above the blow hole, I had to hand the camera over to someone who wasn’t experienced and probably set it to auto for them, trusting my canon gear would not fail me. I was going through a phase of making everything dark & moody — which is great for the most part but sometimes moody editing doesn’t lend well to certain scenes, as you’ll see in some of my photos. ⠀ ⠀ 💻 THE EDIT @adobe @lightroom Decrease global exp > Create an S-curve > HSL: + blue/teal sat, - orange lum > Graduated filter left, right, top & bottom (darken) > Radial filter over myself (lighten) > Brush (exp + sat) over blow hole ⠀ ⠀ 💡 TIP: Try using Graduated filters for large areas of exposure correction. Gilli T, Indonesia 🏖 ⠀ ⠀ 📝 THE SHOOT @djiglobal Spent a few weeks traveling Bali and had a spontaneous trip to Gilli T. I was at a popular beach side spot so I wandered away from the crowd, found a quiet and clear spot and hovered the drone over the shoreline and myself. It require a lot of cleaning up and composition cloning to get it to how I envisioned. Shot on a DJI Phantom 4. Banana Trees, Philippines 🌴 ⠀ ⠀ 📝 THE SHOOT @canonaustralia On our first or second time shooting together, @theloveassembly and I hired a tricycle driver to take us around the island. We spotted some banana trees and asked our driver if he could pullover. Using the Canon Camera Connection app + 6D we setup a tripod. We had to time the shot as there were tourists coming in and out of the frame and no steady ground to place a tripod. Shot with a slightly long exposure to capture the movement in the water. This is also the VERY FIRST photo I took of my gf @theloveassembly when I met her in Tulum 2016. We had just finished a swim through underground canals and the light was beaming from the sides of the cave. I asked if she could swim over to this rock in the middle of the cenote.
