In all the years I’ve been designing bridal accessories, I’ve never met a little girl who wasn’t completely fascinated by what I do. Their eyes light up when they see the veils, the lace, the sparkle, the soft tulle floating through the studio.
Of course, they don’t see the other side of it. They don’t know about receipts, bookkeeping, customer service, shipping labels, and late nights answering messages. They only see the magic of working with beautiful things.
And honestly… I love that.
My niece is 7 years old, and she keeps all of her most precious possessions tucked safely under her pillow at night. Little treasures that feel important to her heart.
Recently I let her choose a piece of bridal fabric from my studio — out of all the lace and tulle and delicate things I work with every day.
She studied them carefully like a tiny designer. And now that piece of bridal fabric sleeps under her pillow with her.
It reminds me that beauty has a way of capturing our hearts from the very beginning. Long before we understand work, responsibility, or business… we simply know when something feels magical. ✨
Sometimes I think that little-girl wonder is exactly why I still love what I do.
