Day 4 of the OneAbility Games featured all three ACHIEVE sports: Goalball, Wheelchair Basketball, and Blind Hockey, alongside exhibition games from SuperHEROS hockey. From the court to the rinks, the competition was fierce, the athletes were focused, and the crowds were riled up! Pretty incredible to see all of these elite athletes leaving it all on the court/rink and putting on an incredible show of athleticism in @cityofrichmondbc Today are the gold medal games! Come out and cheer the athletes on @richmondoval and JN Burnett Secondary 🎉 📹 @chadgalloway Video Description: Short clips of goalball athletes putting their eyeshades on, blind hockey players putting their helmets on, and superHEROS stepping onto the ice. Then the video jumps to a goalball athlete resting on his hands and knees in net, blind hockey puck drop, and wheelchair basketball athlete scoring a shot. Then we see a montage of goalball athletes throwing goalballs and saving shots, blind hockey players making contact, and shooting at net, and coaches shouting from the sidelines! Video ends with a variety of athletes, coaches, and fans, celebrating their victories, shaking hands, and hugging. #oneabilitygames #inclusion #wheelchairbasketball #goalball #blindhockey

Day 3 of the OneAbility Games brought a lot of memorable moments. It marked the first day of the ACHIEVE stream with the start of the 2026 Wheelchair Basketball National Championships and Senior National Goalball Championships as well as the end of the formal portion of our PLAY stream. This was also the moment both streams overlapped, allowing student athletes and competitive athletes to connect, inspire, and exemplify the power of sport and inclusion. Other highlights from day 3 include: - Our AccessAbility Workshop presented by @insight_global - featuring a presentation from @rickhansenfdn on accessibility, inclusion, and identity, as well as an incredible panel discussion hosted by @nathanclement11 and featuring the insights of @m_4_mahon @joshvandervies and @stephanie_cadieux - a huge thank-you to each of you for sharing your wisdom, experience, and passion for sport. - Over 300 smiling student faces being celebrated and trying adapted sport 🎉 Day 4 will bring the start of the remainder of our ACHIEVE Sports with the Blind Hockey BC cup beginning, and SuperHEROS with @heros_hockey will still be out playing some exhibition games over the weekend as part of our PLAY stream, so stay tuned for more ACTION! Video description: A highlight reel of key moments from day 3 of the OneAbility Games. The reel carousel image shows a goalball athlete wearing black winding up to throw the ball. Day 2 of the OneAbility Games was one to remember! We were so excited to be joined by a group of new students, who brought incredible energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork to every activity. A huge thank you to all of the leaders and elected officials who joined us in support of accessibility, disability inclusion, and adapted sport, including MP Wade Grant, Parliamentary Secretary Dana Lajeunesse, Acting Mayor of Richmond Andy Hobbs, and Richmond City Councillor Alexa Loo. Your support means so much to our athletes, schools, volunteers, and families. Our PLAY Sports stations kept everyone moving and smiling all day long, including wheelchair & adapted basketball, lacrosse, soccer, wheelchair & adapted floorball, sitting volleyball, and track & field. We were proud to celebrate Leah Massine-Folliott as the recipient of the Judith Armstrong Super Crew Award — a truly well-deserved honour recognizing outstanding volunteerism and dedication. A very special thank you to Karen Fallan, daughter of Judith Armstrong, for joining us and sharing Judith’s incredible volunteer legacy through Operation Trackshoes. We are deeply grateful to both Karen and Judith for the lasting impact they continue to have on inclusive sport and community spirit. What an amazing day of connection, determination, and PLAY! 🎉🎉🎉 📹 @chadgalloway #oneabilitygames #inclusioninaction Video description: A highlight reel jumps through clips of celebration, smiles, laughter, and play all at the Richmond Olympic Oval. The road is long, but the mission is greater. 🚴‍♂️🇨🇦 SPVM (Montreal Police Service) stopped in Banff during their cross-country ride from Montreal, Quebec, to Richmond, BC, in support of Défi sportif AlterGo and the OneAbility Games, championing inclusion, accessibility, and the power of sport for all. Captured here against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, the team continues its incredible journey across Canada, united by a commitment to community and equal opportunities through sport. We are excited to welcome the riders to Richmond during the Opening Ceremonies on Wednesday morning, May 13th, @richmondoval as they complete this incredible journey across the country. Wishing them safe travels for the rest of their journey and a huge congratulations on making it this far! From classrooms to gymnasiums, these Pro-D Days have been all about creating more inclusive opportunities for students to move, play, and belong. 🏀💙 OAG has loved leading sessions with schools across the Lower Mainland, sharing our adapted sport programs and helping educators bring PLAY programs into their school communities so that every child can participate in movement. A huge thank you to the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation for their generous support through a grant to help with the growth of our PLAY program throughout the Lower Mainland. Your support assists in making inclusive sport and recreation more accessible for students of all abilities. #inclusion #adaptedsports #telusfriendlyfuturefoundation Image Description: A carousel of images from various Pro-D-Days and PLAY programs that the OAG team has presented at, and witnessed. We see a group of educators with floorball sticks, the boccia stance being demo-ed by one of our educators, kids trying wheelchair basketball, a close-up of an OAG PowerPoint that reads “What’s Planned”, cheer cards being coloured and a smiling child seated in a sports wheelchair holds both hands up excitedly toward the camera in a gymnasium setting. The child is wearing a white T-shirt and light green shorts. Over the lower part of the image is a white sign with bright pink text reading “THANK-YOU” above the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation logo and name in purple and green.
