Istanbul-born, Glasgow-based singer-songwriter Onat Önol (@onatonol ) unveils his upcoming album, "No Problem Here" at an intimate listening event at Moda216.
Long-in-the-works, this is Onat's first album since he moved to Glasgow, and arguably his must vulnerable, collaborative, and spacious yet.
The listening session will be followed by Onat's 1-hour-long DJ set, selected and curated for this series only.

My next full band gig is on the 20th next week, Thursday. We’re supporting the album launch of the ever so witty @petercatcatcat alongside @hound.gla at Sleazy’s. We actually sound really good, come out if you have wanted to hear my songs played in person
And also @hexbargla who I am on microphone duties for are supporting the great @pilemusic at Mono. They sound pretty alright also, shame about the vocals

Hopping in here to announce I am playing two shows in the next month, crazy
I will be playing my first out of town gig in LONDON (wow) on the 14th at @thegeorgetavern sharing a bill with many cool artists - drop by if you are in close proximity and thank you to @nekolektif for the invite
I have also been on vocal duties for @hexbargla for the past year or so and we will be supporting @dancerareaband for their album launch at the Flying Duck on the 12th, it should be a very good evening
My album No Problem Here is finished, it’s on my phone. If you’re a good friend chances are I sent it to you to listen to it. I’m also working on a new new album, life is good
My eyes are closed, but I’m here to let you know that “To The Siren” is the first song off my upcoming album No Problem Here I have selected to share with you.
The song is out now.
It touches on feelings of distance from home, old friends, and a desire to run either away or towards new & old problems. It’s a song about disappearing and coming back reincarnated as a ghost, being completely out of control with all that is happening around you and the frustration you have in people for lacking belief and love. Maybe a few more.
The song features some beautiful guest instrumentation from my good pals @pabsdebussy , @niallmorris_ and @oliviaaamclean who respectively contributed drums, trombone & cello. My good friend Paul did the cover art. @barttheripper mixed it Will Killingsworth mastered it.
Album early next year. It’s really good and I can’t wait to share it with you all!
Hiya, it is finally time to announce Mixed Bill 4!
This time it’s an especially special one as it will coincide with the release of my brand new song “To The Siren”.
A celebration of sorts, it will be out for this show.
This time alongside me we have the noise funk legends @hunksofunk (for real this time), Edinburgh weird pop from @buffetlunchband , the homemade beefheart sounds of @normalservice and the most soulful and untinned @mercuro__chrome ! Once again at @stereo_glasgow
Insane spread of sounds and faces, it’s gonna be a very good one.

A bit last second but I’m playing a neat acoustic gig on Zoom tonite with @alex_halsted the mildly electric fish. Very rarely do you see artists you play gigs with animals, this is certainly a first for me.
