SATURDAY NIGHT! Prepare to ascend to higher plains through the ass shaking psychedelic noise groove of Hunks of Funk! This Saturday night THEE Hunks of Funk are returning for a headline show at Stereo with @apostolos_kasparis @onatonol Plant Science @moinebm As a primer we have released a new live set recording from our last gig. It's a fully mixed multitrack from our last gig at the 13th Note - Industrial Music for Industrial Action. The gig was a fundraiser for the staff at Saramago who were unfairly sacked due to union activity. Sadly as most of you know the 13th Note would also sack all their workers and close a few months later. Big sad but the gig was amazing and you can listen to it on our bandcamp as part of the Rehearsals and Live Funk Rituals album.

Tonight! A night of industrial, noise and noisefunk in solidarity with the workers of Saramago. Performances by: Inner Alchemy Hunks of Funk Peg Toil Entry fee is a donation of your choice as all profit is going to the Saramago workers! Local comedy-noise legend and wind up merchant BolixandxWaddle will be in attendance to rinse more donations from you all. It’s called solidarity! This event is being put on by members of staff from the 13th note. Please come down and support our collective cause! Unionise! Inner Alchemy: Unsettling industrial and dark ambient soundscapes, occult cassette mysticism and true dungeon music for the Silent Hill generation. Newest project of Kay Logan (Helena Celle, Anxiety, Herbert Powell). Hunks of Funk: The most raw and downright feral display of funk you'll likely ever witness. Imagine if Funkadelic did a collaboration with Merzbow, now imagine it being even better than that and you're somewhere close to understanding the crushing groove of Hunks of Funk! Expect head-splitting sounds and asses been shaken to smithireens through noise-funk debauchery! Peg: Laptop harsh noise obliteration via a cursed and ear-shattering VCV Rack patch. Violent noise rhythms that feels like a chainsaw to your soul! Maybe a vuvuzela? Toil: Pulverising minimal power-electronics from a local noise legend (A View From Nihil, booked some of the most legendary Glasgow noise gigs for the past decade or so). Material out soon.

Sunday! We are back gigging at The 13th Note. This will be a fundraiser in solidarity with the workers at Saramago, so it’s funk/noise for a good cause. Playing also will be Kay Logan with her Inner Alchemy project, which she recently released a sick album for that you should check out! @too_auld_too_cauld will be bringing us some great noise/industrial and we will also be joined by Peg. We played with Peg at one of the DPRN gigs a while back and they made some incredible violent, glitchy noise tunes with only a laptop and vuvuzela, so this will be a very class gig! @villanoxiv should also be causing bother in attempt to make people donate to the cause but he is banned from playing Pitbull this time!
