JAGUN JAGUN: RISE OF A WARRIOR. Inspired by the film JAGUN JAGUN by @femiadebayosalami Being the Stage Manager on this project really showed me what it means to hold things together behind the scenes. It wasn’t always smooth there were stressful moments, tight timings and days where everything felt like a lot. But we kept going, we showed up, we adjusted and we made it work. That’s the thing about theatre… it teaches you resilience, patience and how to stay grounded even when everything is moving at once. I’m proud of what we were able to achieve with JAGUN JAGUN: Rise of a Warrior. Proud of the team, the effort and the growth that came with it. +1 for the month. But we’re just getting started. New month, new stories to tell. It’s been a month since THE GREATEST SHOWMAN — Live on Stage 🎭✨ and I still find myself going back to it. This wasn’t just a production for me… it was a dream. A dream that Oluwadamilare @iam_deeray and I have carried for years. Something we spoke about in quiet moments, imagined in pieces, and held on to even when it felt far away. Bringing it to life wasn’t easy. There were long nights, pressure, uncertainty and moments where it honestly felt like everything could fall apart. There were days we didn’t have answers, days we questioned ourselves, days it felt bigger than us. But somehow, we kept going. And in the middle of all that chaos, something real was born. What people saw on stage was just the surface. Behind it was heart, sacrifice, resilience and a group of people who chose to believe in something they couldn’t fully see yet. This experience stretched me, challenged me and changed me. I’m deeply grateful for every single person who was part of this journey. A dream we carried for years… finally found its way to the stage. “quatervois” inspired by the anxiety of graduating uni. I used to think life was a straight line, something you followed until it ended or made sense. But somewhere between what I wanted and what I’ve survived, the path broke open. It didn’t shatter. It unfolded; four directions, each one whispering a different version of me. I stood there for a long time, trying to listen for certainty, but all I heard was my own breath, steady and alive. That’s when I understood — the quatervois isn’t about choosing right, it’s about trusting motion. whichever road I take will become the right one once I start walking. "August Visitor" This is a superficial idea that embodies the central….nahhhh I’m just kidding 😂. I brought this idea to life cus i FELT LIKE IT. I had fun with it. At the same time, it subtly references the 1970s Nigerian fashion; placing the British “skirt and blouse” right beside the Yoruba “gélè.” A playful clash. A cultural juxtaposition.
