🎨🌿 More than a car park - a canvas for culture. ✨ A new multi‑deck car park is being constructed within Fiona Stanley Hospital precinct as part of the New Women and Babies Hospital Project. Its facade will feature a striking public artwork, Balga Kaditjin Koora Yeyi, which celebrates Noongar culture and knowledge. 🌿 Inspired by the cultural, spiritual and medicinal significance of the Balga (grass tree), the artwork honours resilience, healing and a deep connection to Country 🤍 Through three connected elements, the Balga trunk, flower and grove, the artwork tells a story of culture, belonging and continuity across generations. Created by artists Mark Datodi and Whadjuk Noongar artist Dr Barbara Bynder, the work brings together decades of artistic practice and cultural knowledge. Installation is expected to begin in 2027 🎭 🚗🏥 The new multi‑deck car park will provide approximately 1,500 parking bays, supporting future growth as the precinct becomes home to the new Women and Babies Hospital.

✨ A new cultural artwork is taking shape as part of the New Women and Babies Hospital Project🏥 🖌️ Artwork by Noongar, Yawuru and Torres Strait Islander artist, Tyrown Waigana, will soon transform the Level 2 lift lobby of the western multi‑deck car park, under construction within Fiona Stanley Hospital Precinct as part of the New Women and Babies Hospital Project. 🌿 Inspired by the Beeliar Wetlands, the piece features the maali (black swan) and yanget (bulrush) - symbols of identity, resilience and deep connection to Country. 🙌The central circular form reflects the cycles of water, life and seasons, creating a space for gathering, reflection and movement. ✅ Once completed, this artwork will turn a transitional space into a meaningful cultural experience that honours place, people and the stories of the land.

🏥 Building smarter at Bunbury Hospital 🏗️ Construction is powering ahead with the Bunbury Redevelopment Project using an innovative jump form system - a self-climbing platform designed to boost efficiency and safety on site. ⚡By using electric jacks to lift formwork and safety screens, the team can build without relying on cranes or traditional scaffolding. 💪 Each level supports up to 15 tonnes of steel reinforcement and a 60 m³ concrete pour, delivering strong and precise structural outcomes. The jump form system delivers: ✨ Faster construction 👷 Safer working environment 🧠 Smarter building methods 🙌 Once a level is complete, the system can “jump” to the next in as little as one hour - keeping momentum high while putting worker safety first. 🤝 @WACountryHealthService and @Multiplex and Perkins Builders . . . . . .
