في لقاء مع أجيال شو، تشارك المخرجة إيمان ميرغني تفاصيل فيلمها الوثائقي القصير “فيلا 187” ورحلة تصويره التي بدأت عام 2020 لرصد الحنين إلى الماضي ومشاعر الفقدان والروابط الأسرية، وقد نشأت قكرة الفيلم بعد اضطرار الأسرة إلى إخلاء منزلها في الدوحة، وهو ما دفع إيمان إلى التساؤل عن معنى الوطن ومشاعر الاغتراب والغربة. وبالنسبة لها، فإن هذا الفيلم يمثل وسيلة مهمة لتقبل فكرة التغيير والتعامل مع هذه المشاعر.
In this Ajyal Show interview, director Eiman Mirghani shares the heart of “Villa 187”, a short documentary begun in 2020 that reflects on nostalgia, loss, and family. Sparked by a moment of upheaval when her family had to leave the house she grew up in, the film asks: What is home, and how does it feel to grow up in a place that was never truly yours? For Eiman, making the film became a path to closure and to embracing change. #DFF25

Five years ago, my dad sent me & my sisters the voice note we were dreading for quite some time… he was let go from his job & the house we called a home our whole lives in Doha is being taken away from us.
How do you explain displacement within displacement? How do you comprehend that your childhood home was never yours to begin with? How do you leave behind something that has always been a part of you? I couldn’t understand what it all meant that at the time. So I did what any regular person would do…
I made a film about it.
This film goes out to my family & Villa 187. This film goes out to anyone who’s loved & lost.
Hold on to all that’s good… before it’s no longer yours.
