Hello Saint-Lô, we’re nearing the final stretch… but we’re not done yet.
This is the second to last workshop of the series before we move to Lyon, and the energy is only getting deeper.
I’m calling all dancers, movers, and curious souls to step in and be part of something beyond choreography.
This is about exchange.
Bata is a traditional dance from Nigeria that carries rhythms, stories, and ancestral knowledge that continue to shape the urban dance culture of today. What we dance now didn’t appear from nowhere , it’s rooted, it’s layered, it’s alive.
In this session, we’re diving into that connection. Feeling it. Sharing it. Building something real together in the space.
Come with your style. Come with your curiosity. Come ready to connect and grow.
We’re close to the end… so don’t sit this one out.
Be part of the journey before the final chapter.

Gratitude.
Last weekend was the definition of resilience for me in so many ways. And right after that, on Monday, I began my internship as an administrative assistant at @danseatouslesetages . Thank you, Marion and the entire team, for welcoming me into your circle, it truly brightens my journey here in France.
I was invited by La Fazenda to curate an evening of holistic artistic exchange, and something truly magical happened. It reminded me of who I am. It made me feel special about myself again. The intimacy of the experience, being surrounded by people who love to dance and see it as a way to connect with their inner selves, made it even more powerful.
Those who know me well understand that I am always ready, especially when something speaks deeply to me and feels right. When I received the invitation to curate this project, my intention was to create a crossroads, a space where people could simply be and share without boundaries. At the heart of it all was a question:
Why do we dance?
In a world where chaos is woven into our everyday lives, this question feels more important than ever.
What made it even more special was the presence of these incredible creatives. I want to thank @wandering.translator , @phaith.ot , @obiajuluozegbe , @moe.bossard , @miladainha , @armandopekeno , and my amazing partner @amazona_onirica for showing up fully and sharing without limits.
My prayer is that our ancestors continue to hold space for us all. Thank you for always inspiring me.
See you next month at my Bata Workshop Series in Saint-Lô, Normandy.
May the road continue to be long. Ase.
Eseun gan ni o 💝💡
Did a thing with my brother Olowu in comburg. It was a beautiful and intimate evening with just about 20 people but the vibration was pure.
Don’t stop work bro, it gets better.
Far or near, Nigerian dancers will always meet on the road, on the cross road.
Obiajulu.
Ps: brilliant captured by the very interesting @wandering.translator
