It was an absolute honor to do hair and makeup for the incredible @mayorwu , Mayor of Boston on her visit to DC. She’s as sweet and inspiring as she is strong! 💕 For those who don't know, I'm actually from Massachusetts- born and raised! So doing Mayor Wu's makeup and hair was extra special. My goal as a hair and makeup artist is to enhance your favorite features and draw attention away from your concerns. It was important to Meghann that she have a look that would feel comfortable and true to her all day. My dream bride!!! Sammi shared her vision, trusted the process, and enjoyed every part of her engagement and wedding weekend 🤍😌☀️ For her wedding day, we went with a more medium to full coverage foundation, understated eyes, and a slight wing. For hair, Sammi requested loose fluffy waves. I can’t wait to share more moments from my bride’s wedding weekend with you all! A little late to posting but here are some moments Meghann and Matt’s wedding day! It was such a treat to help Meghann get ready for her special day! We went with natural makeup, minimal foundation, eyeshadow that would make her blue eyes pop, and a classic French twist 🥰 After morning hair and makeup, I went to Meghann’s stunning garden venue @riverfarm_va for touch ups to help keep her calm and peace of mind 😌☀️ It’s always so lovely staying for touch ups! I think one of my favorite parts about touch ups is getting to know and understand the love between my bride and her groom. Little, beautiful, real moments. They were all around, at every glance, surrounding Ellis & Jenny on their wedding day. It was relaxed, carefree, and their friends brought the lighthearted humor every wedding needs. The light broke through at just the right moments, and the wind caught Jenny’s veil exactly when you’d hope it would. There was more time with loved ones, more presence, more laughter. My heart actually ached when I looked back at the photos for the first time. So many images that felt alive. How incredibly special?
