Today, with mayors and city managers from Cambridge, Chelsea, Lynn, Newton, Medford, Brookline, and Somerville, I signed an “Executive Order To Protect Bostonians From Unconstitutional and Violent Federal Operations.” Together, we will use every tool we have—every right and law and constitutional protection we fought for—to defend our residents from federal overreach. We are Boston. And we will never abandon our values. #Boston #Immigration #PublicSafety

Boston is getting $252 million over the next 15 years for the White Stadium renovation. It’s the largest community and public benefits deal in our city’s history. #Boston #WhiteStadium #BostonPublicSchools #BPS #BostonSchools #BPSathletics #FranklinPark

Yesterday, we celebrated generations of Black veterans who have served and sacrificed for our country at the 21st African American Military Heritage Day at Edward O. Gourdin African American Veterans Memorial Park. For far too long, Black veterans have been erased from history, but in every chapter of America’s fight for freedom, Black service members were there. From the 54th Massachusetts Regiment during the Civil War, to WWII Major Charity Adams who led hundreds of Black women in the “Six Triple Eight” Central Postal Directory Battalion to ensure our troops received letters from their loved ones, to Brigadier General Edward Gourdin—later the first Black judge appointed to Roxbury District Court and the Massachusetts Superior Court—for whom the park is named, we know in Boston that Black history is American history. We will not let it be forgotten, nor rewritten. Boston stands in solidarity with the Black veterans for whom we owe our freedom. We will keep fighting the good fight together—in faith, solidarity, and community. #Boston #BlackVeterans #AfricanAmericanMilitaryHeritageDay

All year round, @campharborview serves as a sanctuary where young people can find community, become leaders, and discover the best versions of themselves. I was so excited to cut the ribbon on Camp Harbor View’s new homebase in Dorchester, which will also serve as the homebase for the Connors Leadership Academy! Almost two decades ago, Camp Harbor View was one of Jack Connors’ big ideas. Jack believed that every young person in Boston, from every neighborhood, deserved a place where they could feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow. So did Mayor Menino, and together they gathered partners from across Boston—from City Hall to local businesses to community organizations—and brought Camp Harbor View to life. Every week, students at the Connors Leadership Academy learn how to become the kinds of brave, thoughtful leaders our community needs. From helping them explore their passions to providing college prep resources, the program helps students and their families access the supports they need to thrive and achieve their dreams. We are so excited that this program will now live in Dorchester, where the majority of campers and their families call home. We are so grateful for Camp Harbor View’s fierce dedication to meeting young people where they are at, and for lifting them up at every stage of their journey. Congratulations on your new home, Camp Harbor View! #Boston #CampHarborView #Dorchester #ConnorsLeadershipAcademy

Boston is proud to be a global city shaped by communities from around the world, and this summer, we’re welcoming the world to our city with @fwc26boston , Boston 250, and @sailboston . I met with the New England Consular Corps to discuss the massive opportunities for our City’s economy and communities presented by these celebrations. Welcoming our international community means creating meaningful opportunities for cultural and economic engagement across Boston. The City is working to do that through multiple channels, including our Neighborhood Business Guide, and our soccer Fan Fest right on City Hall Plaza. It was a pleasure to share space and ideas on how we can show the world what it means to be a home for everyone. #Boston #WeAreBoston #ConsularCorps

By breaking ground on Building F in Charlestown, we are more than doubling the number of families that can call the Bunker Hill Housing Development—and Boston—home. Partnership between the City, private lenders, local labor, and construction experts is essential to this work. Thank you to everyone working together to make Boston a home for everyone. #Boston #Charlestown #AffordableHousing
