She fooled us big time. Slept most of the first 6 months (jaundice was a great disguise) until she decided sleep was for the weak. Xuanie, your parents ARE weak.
Oh, and that voice. That loud, loud voice. She knew that having one meant that she could get anything she wanted.

1. Your sister named you. (It's a Bluey reference) To her, Xuan is your "Chinese name"
2. Mummy felt EVERYTHING cos erm...We called for the epidural too late. Thanks for popping out early enough I guess!

As a parent, I go back and forth between wanting time to slow down and wanting our little hearts to grow up faster, needing us a little less. Today, my first little heart turned 5. I remember the day she was born so clearly, part trauma part @danagonetothedogs ’ point by point account in her amazing book (swipe to read). Oh how far we’ve come, how far we’ll go.

I'm always extremely torn between whether I should take pictures or make a video of our trips without disrupting the experience too much, especially when it comes down to Rey. ( Thank goodness she's easy to bribe with candy)
Looking through the backlog of footage from our holidays since the first as a family back in 2022, I can see how much she's grown and that just piles on the pressure of just doing something with the images 😂. (Actually, the wife has been complaining about not seeing any pictures of our trips)
Now I think I've finally found the solution to the old photo or video problem...Video screenshots Haha! I've always shot on 4k resolution and these screenshots even make decent prints up to A4. I still have raw stills in the drive of course.
Also, if anyone speaks Thai, we would very much appreciate some translation for whatever the family was saying about us in the last video 🫶🏻. ( We really chanced upon the place at sunset and there was nobody except this one other family that walked by)
