You Know It’s Going To Be About War premiered last Wednesday (18 Jan) at
@tromsofilmfest in Tromsø, Norway.
We joke with the team that I need to be better at promoting my (our) work. So it took me almost a week after the premiere to put myself together and write a few words of gratitude.
Big thank you to Nordnorsk Filmsenter
@nordnorskfs and Fritt Ord
@frittord for funding the film and helping us make it all happen in such a short time.
Special thank you to Hålogaland Teater
@halogalandteater for helping us kickstart the production.
Cordial thank you to
@kjerstigulliksrud and Frederic for the hygge home dinner with conversations that sparked the idea.
Big big thank you to Ganna Iaroshevych
@ganna_ya (Editor/Script) for helping shape the story and for bearing with me throughout my mental rollercoaster journey :))
Tusen Takk to John Emil Richardsen
@montevideo_tos (Producer) for the opportunity and insane trust that was backed by nothing more than words at the time of our first meeting. And for the best reaction to the first cut of the film: I’m relieved to say this all has not been a mistake :)))
Hugs and thank you to the cosiest and bravest team: Jack Belisle
@jbelisle (DOP), Arthur Würsten
@vurstovic (1 AD/B-cam/Stills), Dmytro Oleksiuk
@dima.dimadima (Sound Rec/Post Prod) and Ivan Tovstiuk
@j._pilgrim (Music)
And also to the team that carried on their shoulders the weird format of remote filming for additional scenes: Kateryna Ptashka
@katerynaptashka (Local Producer), Mykhailo Sukhomlyn
@mikeru_jrock and Yevhenii Vasylchenko (Additional Photography) as well as Richard Butler for the scenic shots of Tromsø.
Thank you to Tom Sajewski for excellent grading and irritably responsible attention to detail!
And the biggest thank you of them all is to all the beautiful people appearing in our little film.
We already know about the next festival that is willing to show our film but more details are coming soon, after all the final confirmations :)
