It’s an honor to welcome back to the Hidden GEMini Gathering stage @marvellis & @olddeevz , a duo that was there in the beginning, ten years ago at our unparalleled venue that is @trinityhotsprings . I am humbled for the opportunity to be such close friends with my favorite artists. I am arguably Marvs biggest fan. Before Free Creatures, he has had what I call the holy grail of solo and collaborative work. I’m beyond excited to see what he’s cooking up next.

Marv Ellis carved his own lane in hip hop—not chasing fame, but refining a sound that’s entirely his own: Neuro-Spicy NW Hip Hop. A blend of folkloric storytelling, rhythm, and raw authenticity. Now stepping into his Gear 5 era—positive, uplifting, and dynamic. 18 albums deep and still evolving.
Alongside him is DJ DV8, a cornerstone of the Eugene underground scene since the early 2000s. He has built a reputation for precision, creativity, and feel.
The two have become Oregon’s longest-running hip hop duo—building a deep catalog, and pushing the boundaries of live performance to new dimensions since 2006.

This is a friendly invite to attend a special show. This Saturday is on purpose. Because I want family to be there. I wanna represent from my hometown. It’s been 25 years since I started playing live. And I’m honestly surprised that I’m still going. But here I am. I will be joined by my long time DJ @olddeevz who is ALSO Celebrating his 25th year anniversary of playing live. We both have been on quite a journey through multiple bands across multiple lands, rocking small to large venues, always representing our hometown Eugene.
