Friends, family, enemies and anyone aboard 3i/ATLAS, we give you “The 500th Anniversary”
A concept album of, primarily, a dialogue between 2 friends, with shifting perspectives between friend and friend, child and parents, and God and man. Throughout the album there is the tension of someone who believes in God, preaching about grace to their non-believing friend for 500 years following the protestant reformation. They’ve preached what they believe to be truth - all the while living in such a way that the author of such a grace would find this gospel foreign based off the rhetoric and actions of the one preaching it.
We are extremely proud of this work and really think everyone should check it out - love it or hate it - give it a listen from begging to end. We will be performing it in its entirety tonight at Kings - 7pm, we are headlining, come and listen.
There are so many people to thank for the making of this album and I will name a lot of them here:
A huge thanks to Aaron Allred who engineered, co-produced, mixed and mastered the whole album. He also played guitar, drums, bass and sang harmony on many of the songs.
Josh Rogers - drums
Kirk O’Steen - bass
Bryan Christenson-Diver - guitar, baritone guitar, bass, and harmonies
River - little words
Everyone above had a huge part in writing these songs and everyone who has filled in at some point also had very important subliminal influence on the songs and how they have evolved over years. Derrick Singer, Evan King, Mikail Dingle, Anthony Forzaglia and Cameron McGee. Also Conner Nolte and Jay Stalls who were original members of the band.
All of our spouses who graciously aloud us to take time away from our homes and screaming kids to work on this - Taylor (my Queen), Kelsey, Harmony, Kathryn and Elizabeth. Ya’ll just wait till these Spotify royalties start coming in.
Also thank you to all our heroes who have never heard of us that had a huge impact on the sound and style of this record in Manchester Orchestra, O’Brother, Microwave, As Cities Burn Pedro The Lion and Thrice.
Thank you Lord.

Hello, it’s time for an album release show.
On November 7th, Old Brier will be releasing our first full length album: “The 500th Anniversary”. We are pleased to announce that we will be playing at Kings Raleigh alongside of bands and friends - Earther and Nothing Good. This is going to be what the kids are calling “a wild time”. Please come share this moment with us.
This will (probably) be the only time we will play the entire 10 song album from front to back. For that reason we will also be recording this live to release as an additional live version of the album in early 2026.
Much talent, and many surprises await - we are looking forward to sharing this special day with all those who can make it! 🤍
