Stream-of-consciousness lyrics, gliding freak vocals and fuzzed out minimalist bass riffs rule the psychic landscape of Old Mound, a witchy post-metal project fronted by Wes Christiansen. Meditative and uncanny, this solo endeavour plies the queer trauma prairie landscapes of Southern Alberta with old haunts to emerge supreme with new wisdom and oracular vision.

My geriatric back went out last week..where he went I couldn't say but he just returned like a stray cat. Don't forget we have a show in two days and I can officially practice again as of today- it's so metal not being able to physically pick up your guitar because you insist on never doing your core strengthening exercises
As a July Leo I have been BURSTING to tell everyone how excited I am to be playing at this year's @sledisland music and arts festival in Calgary, AB. I attended and actually volunteered at the very first one back in 2007 as a little egg. Come say hi at Loophole Coffee Bar on Thursday June 20th at 11:00 p.m. where I will be playing alongside many other excellent acts (I would tag them but I don't want to give away the surprise in case they haven't announced yet).
