I’ve always loved the bridge for this song. In a tradition where the bridge takes you away from the familiar only to bring you back home to the chorus, I think this particular bridge does that so well. The melody is not quite as simple or as predictable as the verse and the chorus, and it introduces something that feels slightly minor. So when it comes back home to this major gorgeous, sweet, simple verse and chorus it feels better this time than it did any of the times previous.
