On his debut for Saboteur Musique, Montreal-based producer OJPB explores the deeper, dubbier edges of UK sound system culture through a distinct and personal lens. Opening track Angosture moves through steppers minimalism and bubbling polyrhythms, balancing hypnotic stillness with subtle forward motion.
With À Canet, OJPB steps away from roots orthodoxy, revisiting early proto-UK Funky influences two decades later, shaped by the presence of neighbour and friend Loulou.
Ossuaire returns to dubwise territory with heavy bass pressure, spiralling melodies, and clattering percussion, bringing the EP to a close with a raw post-punk energy.

Starting it off, Angosture takes an eyedown path towards steppers minimalism and percolating polyrhythm invoking a dreamlike stasis vs movement tension. Departing from root-centric obedience, with À Canet, OJPB delves on his early works by re-interpreting proto-UK Funky memories 20 years later under the influence of his neighbour/friend, Loulou. Ossuaire meanders back into dub wise territories with pummelling bass throbs, whirling melodies, racketing percussions; closing this EP with a post-punk ambition.
