In moments or rupture like the one we're living through, we can be a part of a movement for change.
We can build a stronger, more just democracy that works for us all.
Together with people from across the ideological spectrum, across race, class, creed, geography, generation, and professional background, this is what we're building.
NOT 👏 OUR 👏 END 👏 TIMES 👏
We’re building a movement of Christians and people of Christian lineage taking action to stop the Christian Zionist lobby and organize for justice and peace in Palestine, in the U.S., in Iran, in Lebanon, and around the world.
Will you join us?

This course will examine the historical and contemporary impact of Christian Zionism, including its connection to imperialism, settler-colonialism, and white Christian Nationalism.
From the perspective of their different lineages, Rabbi Wise and Reverend Naomi Washington Leapheart will explore the specific consequences of Christian Zionism, and the harm that plays out when any religion marries itself to empire. Together, the class will imagine a world free from empire, and ask how we can build collective power to resist religious nationalism in all its forms.

In this episode, learn about the “pillars strategy” to defeat authoritarianism. @oholyshift , Strategic Partnerships Director at @praeyesright , says the Christian church could take a stand against the weaponization of religion to advance authoritarianism. “Then, the regime can no longer use the power of Christianity, the texts of Christianity, the rituals of Christianity to resource its own agenda.” Learn more at the 🔗 in bio.

WATCH 📹: This week’s Revised Common Lectionary includes a key biblical text used to morally justify Christian Zionism — Genesis 12:3.
In this video, CFP theo-politics team members Rev. Naomi Washington-Leapheart @oholyshift (movement strategist and adjunct faculty, Villanova University), Dr. James Perkinson (Professor of Social Ethics, Ecumenical Theological Seminary), and Rev. Tommy Airey (RadicalDiscipleship.net) offer some commentary and guidance for clergy interested in preaching this passage in a way that takes seriously its context and aligns with our solidarity with Palestine.

NEW EPISODE | Epstein, Trump & How Misogyny Fuels Fascism | Tune in on public television and radio, YouTube and podcast platforms.
Donald Trump has a long record of demeaning and berating women. He’s also linked to Jeffrey Epstein and his name appears literally thousands of times in relation to what is arguably the biggest, sickest sex abuse scandal ever. So why is the sexism at the heart of Trumpism taken so lightly? In this episode, we look at how sexism functions in today’s fascist resurgence with experts Nina Burleigh, Rev. Naomi Washington-Leapheart and Annie Wilkinson.
Burleigh is a journalist, best-selling author, documentary producer, and publisher of “American Freakshow” on Substack. @oholyshift is a minister, professor, and the first-ever Strategic Partnerships Director at Political Research Associates (PRA), a social justice research and strategy center founded in 1981 by the feminist political scientist Jean Hardisty. In 2025 @praeyesright dedicated an entire issue of their journal to the relationship between gender and authoritarianism, with a lead essay written by Wilkinson. Hear what our guests are taking away from the Epstein story, why authoritarians are afraid of feminism, and how women’s leadership poses such a threat to fascists. All that, plus a commentary from @lauraflanders on impunity in our times.

Feminist analysts are all too rare in U.S. reporting, but history is very clear on the connection between sexism and fascist movements. Today we’ve invited three experts to discuss why the sexism at the heart of Trumpism is taken so lightly and what it means for democracy. Tune in today at 5:00 p.m. ET (🔗 in bio).

Excited to be in conversation and community with Bishop Vanessa M Brown and Bishop Yvette Flunder on Beyond the Gatekeepers tonight!
Come through, y’all!
“There is nothing new under the sun, but there are new suns.” — Octavia Estelle Butler
In this in-depth, year-long program based on Octavia Butler’s PARABLE OF THE SOWER and PARABLE OF THE TALENTS, we will apprentice ourselves to Butler’s main character, the brilliant visionary organizer Lauren Olamina. Together, we will plumb these prophetic novels for all they can teach us about how to understand this chaotic and precarious historic moment, how to envision a thriving future nonetheless, and how to help one another–help our people–survive to shape it.
We will gather in a variety of ways throughout the year:
Opening Retreat: Searching for New Suns: Engaging the Prophetic Wisdom and Imagination of Octavia E. Butler, June 12-14, 2026
Monthly zoom calls on third Mondays, July 20, 2026-May 17, 2027, 7-8:30pm ET
One additional retreat of your choice, based on your particular interests and project
Closing Retreat and project sharing, June 11-13, 2027
The cohort will support each participant in completing a project inspired by the novels and cohort program–a zine, an art or theater piece, an organizing project, some writing….The nature and breadth of the project are up to you!
A variety of optional retreats will be offered over the course of the year to support your learning and project development. Topics may include the theology of the Parables; imagination practices; writing, engaging conflict in high pressure situations; healing practices, grief practices; disability justice, printmaking, popular education; writing speculative fiction; and survival skills. You may also choose a private two-night retreat for reflection, planning, or project work.
Together for a full year, we will ride the waves of change, study the conditions, and practice adaptation together.
Space is limited; apply today! Find more information and application info here or at the link under our bio: /programs-container/1248/new-suns-cohort/
