Our day began with the brisk chill of winter snow, a reminder of the seasonās quiet beauty. As the skies cleared, they gave way to radiant sunshine and the vibrant colors of Chinatown, brimming with the sights and sounds of our annual parade.
The @daikokunyc family wishes you all a very Happy Lunar New Year and an abundance of auspicious blessings throughout 2026.
Let's get rich in 2026!
It takes a collective vision to create a night like this for New Yorkās car community.
@daikokunyc came together with @superwowcoffee@primenyc.co@r2xpo and @crownspeedlab to bring something real to the city.
Thank you to the @driftermovie team for creating a moment in time; a core memory dedicated to NYC's car enthusiasts.
One of the reasons we started doing these meets was part of a broader vision of safer streets at night through more foot traffic, and to promote local businesses that contribute to the local ecosystem. It's safe to say we achieved this last night.
Lastly thank you to everyone who came out to support us. Until next time.

Stop scaring all my fish away guys! š
Huge thanks to @forest_duplessis for putting together this Maine Ice Invitational and @williampetrow_racing for the invite. I even got to throw my Outback Wilderness around for a few laps.
Hope to be back next year @baldmountaincampsresort
Shout out to all the drivers and photographers I met. Ya'll are keeping rally culture alive!
No I didn't sell my outback. Sorry for the deception.
Quick driving review of my buddies @teamxilun Nismo V-Spec GTR.
See this car in person at the @daikokunyc AAPI parade on Sunday May 17th. Don't miss it because the turn out is even bigger than last year.
The Nissan Skyline GTāR R34 VāSpec featured Nissanās 2.6L twin-turbo RB26DETT inline-six paired with the ATTESA E-TS Pro AWD system and active rear differential. Compared to the standard GT-R, the V-Spec added stiffer suspension tuning, improved aerodynamics, and functional brake cooling ducts developed from Nissanās racing program. Widely regarded as one of the defining cars of the late JDM performance era.
The morning fog had just begun to settle when we arrived at Oak Ridge Park this past Motherās Day Sunday. What first looked like an empty field slowly transformed into a landscape of parked cars, scattered across the grass at every angle. Like pieces of candy spilled across a table. The deeper we walked into the field, the more apparent the mix became: air-cooled and modern 911s tucked between rare-spec Italian supercars, vintage BMWs, immaculate JDM icons, and everything in between.
My friend had just arrived from Korea and was eager to experience American car culture for the first time. He was not disappointed. Ironically, Korea has no shortage of European cars ; BMWs, Mercedes, and Porsches are everywhere, but Japanese enthusiast cars have always occupied a very different space there, shaped by decades of political tension, import restrictions, and consumer sentiment. Even Honda recently exited the Korean market after years of declining sales. Seeing RX-7s, Supras, and Skylines casually mixed among rally cars and European exotics in an open field felt almost surreal through his eyes.
Thank you @snowcrashing for the invite, and thank you @primenyc.co and @grassroots_edition for having us.
In a world full of Verticals, sometimes Landscapes just hit different.
A collection of my favorite landscape shots from @thelzworldtour 2026. Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed capturing and editing them.
Thank you to @daikokunyc@crownspeedlab , @r2xpo , @primenyc.co , and @shinsenbowery for hosting.
This is what NYC does best. Bring people together.
Keep an eye out for @driftermovie by @sungkangsta . It is in the final stage of post and dropping later this year. If you can't wait that long be sure to catch him at @r2xpo in the beginning of April during @nyias .
