Dear Friends,
Up next, from the incredible group of participants in #offpage26 are Lauren McDougall, Wendy Miller and Leo Plumb. @lauren.mcdougalll is a multidisciplinary artist based in Glasgow. In 2021, she exhibited her series n00oodies at Photo London, Somerset House. More recently, in 2026, Lauren completed the shortlisted Shape Arts × Baltic Emergent Residency Programme and exhibited work at Strange Field and Spare Room Gallery.   Working across analogue and digital processes, Lauren explores the collapse of binaries between the organic and the synthetic, both conceptually and materially. Her practice considers technological mediation as inseparable from lived experience, functioning as a structure through which identity, sexuality, and ecology are continuously formed and reformed. Through the dissection and surreal reconstruction of visual and sonic material, Lauren’s work destabilises fixed forms of meaning and representation, creating uncanny, unfamiliar bodies and nebulous environments that subvert anthropocentric and patriarchal narratives. Wendy Miller’s - @thellpoet - most recent play, Ghosts Of Protest was performed at Leith Depot last year. Attaining a Masters In Playwriting from the University of Edinburgh in September 2020, Wendy’s poetry has been published by Gutter and New Writing Scotland. She is working on her first full collection, due out next year. Wendy currently plays guitar for two Glasgow bands: the Caretakers and Herratics. Together with partner in rhyme, Lorna Callery-Sithole, she runs performance night Versaye. Wendy lives in Govanhill with partner Gillian, son Edwyn and Rio the spaniel. Leo Plumb is a visual artist, his practice encompasses moving image, drawing and photography. He studied at Glasgow School of Art, Leeds Metropolitan University and Estonian Academy of Arts. He has contributed to numerous UK group projects spanning arts and community fields. In 2025, he completed a solo exhibition; Curious Flat Pipes at Creative Exchange in Perth. Our public preview is on Thursday, 21 May from 6pm @manystudios SEE YOU THERE!

Dear Friends,
It’s time to introduce you to the next three of #offpage26’s amazing participating artist/writers - Beag Horn, Julie Laing and Ruaridh Law @beaghorn works in frontline customer service; in a gallery, a performance venue and libraries. She has a varied professional background, including live performance, optical practice and Avon Lady. Beag studied poetry for her Creative Writing MLitt in 2019 and has had poems published in several anthologies, as well as her own handmade zines and her debut pamphlet Found Property: poems. Beag enjoys exploring the Dada poets and artists, and creates poetry using blackout, collage and other contemporary and traditional forms. @j_a_laing (she/her) is a writer and artist from Glasgow. Her debut pamphlet, the edge of rhizome, was published by Red Squirrel Press in 2025 and her first collection of visual poetry is forthcoming with Art Riot Press. She has been widely published and won the 2023 William Bonar Poetry Prize and the Wigtown Poetry Prize 2022. Her photography solo show was held at Edinburgh’s Agitate Gallery in 2024 and other visual art has been exhibited in group shows including off-page, The Scottish Landscape Awards and Street Level Open. Julie has delivered sessions and readings at StAnza International Poetry Festival, Push the Boat Out and Edinburgh Photographic Society. She is a partner in #offpage and has been a participant since 2023. @ruaridhlaw is an artist, writer, film-maker and musician based in North Ayrshire, Scotland. His works have ranged from intimate audio performance and gallery installations to large-scale outdoor works, music releases and books. These have manifested themselves in, amongst other things, a tarot deck that generates music; sequential stories told over film and radio; simultaneous spiral walks across countries and their sounds; and a walk through a forest and its imagined mythologies in the dead of night. This year his first solo gallery show, “Triadic Paths”, opened at Gray Area gallery, San Francisco. He runs No Roof Only Sky, an imprint/label releasing audio and small books. Our public preview is on Thursday, 21 May from 6pm @manystudios SEE YOU THERE!

Dear Friends,
We’re super-excited to introduce you to the first three of #offpage26’s amazing participating artist/writers - CD Boyland, Hannah Burgess and Hashil Gupta! @cdboyland is a [d]eaf poet who lives in Cumbernauld, near Glasgow, Scotland. His first, full collection, Mephistopheles was published by Blue Diode in 2023. As well as being a partner in #offpage and a participant since 2023, CD has also published two pamphlets of visual poetry - ‘SMC_’ (Steel Incisors, also 2022) and ‘Ptchdk_’ (Trickhouse Press, 2023). For #offpage26, CD will be presenting new visual work based on his poem, ‘Attest how you or they’. Hannah Burdess is a multidisciplinary artist, founder, and CD, whose practice sits at the intersection of symbolism, Surrealism, and social practice. Using Mixed Media, installation, and live programming, she builds immersive environments and pieces that invite and hold you to take space and reflect within them. Working with many traditions of intersectional and de-colonial creative practices, shows include community and collective projects like Colour Theory and International Women’s Day, whilst hosting Community Art Exhibitions through Coconut Water, and founding Coco & Co, now on its fourth iteration in Glasgow. Hannah’s work as part of #offpage26 is titled, ‘A River Is A Road’. @harshil.gupta (he/him) is an Indian poet and writer based in Glasgow. Having published his first collection of poems in 2023 after completing his MLitt in Creative Writing at the University of Aberdeen, he is currently pursuing a research degree in Creative Writing at Strathclyde University focusing on concrete and visual poetry. Although Harshil has been writing poems since he was 10, it wasn’t until 2021 that he decided to leave his career in finance and moved to the U.K. to pursue his lifelong dream of being a professional writer. Harshil believes the purpose of his being is to ‘write the eternal poem of my life, one internal rhyme at a time.’ Harshil’s work for #offpage26 is called ‘Fruit Basket?’

hello ! excited to share that I’ll be showing new work in off-page 2026, previewing on 21st May. Showing new work touch / grass: digital ecologies, alongside an incredible group of artists and poets at Off Page Visual Poetry and The Visual Poetic later this month. Would love to see you there ! @offpagevispo Touch / Grass: Digital Ecologies explores mimicry as a shared biological condition that connects human and non-human species within evolving technological environments. Using the European starling, which incorporates synthetic sounds into its song, as a sonic and conceptual anchor, the work presents how digitised environmental tones and signals are absorbed and transformed within non-human nature. In conjunction, the work is an observation on how humans internalise the rhythms, language, and behavioural patterns of digital systems, shaped by algorithmic structures and continuous exposure.   By framing digital culture as an ecological force rather than an external tool, the project investigates human’s embodiment of technological immersion, reshaping patterns of attention, memory, and physiology. While the starling adapts fluidly to its soundscape, incorporating digital noise into its natural biology, human mimicry operates within systems designed to capture and condition behaviour, raising questions around agency, autonomy, and unconscious adaptation. Through sound and observation, the work constructs portals to recursive and reflective environments in which organic and synthetic signals circulate and respond between bodies and systems, dissolving distinctions between the natural and the technological. #offpage2026 #visualpoetry #digitalecologies #contemporaryart

What an absolute joy it was to exhibit with @offpagevispo , my visual poetry project 'Our Days Passed, and Presence' ft. poem 'Morning commute'. I owe so much to the support and advice of my peer group, with facilitators @j_a_laing @cdboyland and Leo Plumb. The workshops, opening, performance showcase, and 'meet the artists' events in the space at @manystudios were each so necessary and formative. I hope that future work and collaborations can reach similar heights. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the project. #offpage25 #glasgow (📸: Miriam Ali, Tina West)

Today, we closed the door on our #offpage25 exhibition @manystudios for the last time. It’s been an incredible journey with an amazing group of participating poet/artists and artist/writers and we’ve enjoyed it so much. There’ll be lots to sit with and unpack over the next little while - then, before too long it’ll be time to start making plans for #offpage26! In the meantime - thank you to our group, to everyone who visited our exhibition or attended one of our events, our hosts @manystudios and to everyone who’s supported us along the way.
