1/31(土)オソリサーチスペース(オソス)にて第4回国際海洋環境デザイン会議: baysideが開催されました。 ＠3710labは、2026年3月にウェブミュージアム「海をつなぐミュージアム ― MOON（Museum of Ocean Nexus）」を開設します。MOONでのメインコンテンツとなる企画展は「UMI2050」と題し、日本の沿岸地域の未来を2組の建築家が、2050年に実践可能なヴィジョンを描き出す意欲的な試みです。参加するのは、小野寺匠吾建築設計事務所[OSO]、dot architectsの2組。東京湾岸地域、香川県坂出市王越町と、規模も背景も全く異なる計画地を想定し、それぞれの構想をプレゼンテーションしました。完成プランについては3月にMOONにて公開予定ですが、今回はその中間報告として、構想段階の思考や視点を共有しながら、参加者の皆さんとともに議論を深める場になりました。 On Saturday, January 31, the 4th International Conference on Marine Environmental Design: bayside was held at OSO Research Space (OSOS). ＠3710lab is set to launch its web museum, “Museum of Ocean Nexus (MOON) — Connecting the Sea,” in March 2026. The museum’s flagship content will be a special exhibition titled “UMI 2050.” This ambitious project features two architectural teams illustrating actionable visions for the future of Japan’s coastal regions in the year 2050.  The participating architects are Office Shogo Onodera [OSO] and dot architects. During the conference, they presented their respective concepts for two sites with vastly different scales and backgrounds: the Tokyo Bay area and Ogoshicho in Sakaide City, Kagawa Prefecture.  While the finalized plans are scheduled to be unveiled on the MOON website in March, this event served as an interim report—a platform to share their evolving thoughts and perspectives while deepening the discussion with all participants. - #みなとラボ #国際海洋環境デザイン会議 #日本財団 #海と日本プロジェクト #oceanproject

Although the interim presentation event concluded last weekend, we will continue our research and practice along the Tokyo Bay coast leading up to the final project presentation in March. 振り返り。 23年の12月初旬。初めて現場でセルのモックアップを組み立てた。実施設計の終盤だったかな。24年から始まる現場の工事を控え、この時の現場での検証会は、関係者の皆が初めて万博をリアルに感じた瞬間でもあった。万博って本当に始まるんだな、ということを実感した時の記録。 This is from the beginning of December 2023, which was towards the end of the detailed design. We assembled the cell mockup on site for the first time. With construction work scheduled to begin in the following month, this on-site verification meeting made everyone there feel that EXPO is really starting. 大阪万博の閉幕と同時にオソス @oso_researchspace で開催していた「Architectural Journey」展も幕を下ろしました。クロージングレセプションにお越しくださったみなさまありがとうございました。 この日は万博が終わったあとパビリオン「いのちめぐる冒険」が今後どのようにリユースされていくかということを発表しました。一部は沖縄県の中学校施設として移築・再構築し活用される計画で、目下そのプランを立てているところです。弊所も引き続き設計・リユースPMとして携わっていくことになりました。 2021年から万博に携わり始め、無事184日間の会期を終え、これからまた新しい形で万博のレガシーの引き継ぎを担うことができそうです。 The "Architectural Journey" exhibition at OSOS also came to a close as EXPO 2025 Osaka ended. Thank you very much to those who joined us at the closing reception. We were there able to present the reuse plan on how the "LIVE EARTH JOURNEY" pavilion is to be utilised from hereafter for the first time. We are pleased to announce that the part of the pavilion will be relocated and be reconstructed as part of a middle school facility in Okinawa. OSO will continue to be involved as the design and reuse project manager, and are currently working on the detailed plan. 昨日10月13日、2025大阪・関西万博が閉幕しました。去年の今頃はまだ竣工していなかったし、夢洲会場内は大屋根リング以外ほとんど何もなかった。昨年12月に竣工し、今年の4月13日に開幕、そしてあっという間に6ヶ月が経って、とうとう終わってしまったのが儚い夢のようです。。。2021年の夏からプロジェクトに関わり始めて、河森プロデューサーをはじめ、展示チーム、建築チーム、協会やその他多くの関係者の方々、４年間一緒に駆け抜けてきた皆さま、本当にありがとうございました！ そしてたくさんの方々ご来場いただき、ありがとうございました！ 万博は幕を閉じましたが、僕たちはこれからリユースフェーズへ突入します。弊社はすでに「いのちめぐる冒険」の次なる計画に向けて新たな挑戦に進んでいます。またここから、レガシーを継承・発展できるよう頑張ります。 Yesterday, October 13th, the EXPO 2025 Osaka-Kansai came to a close. Around this time last year, our pavilion was still in the middle of the construction and there was almost nothing at Yumeshima site except for The Grand Ring. 6 months have passed in the blink of an eye, and the short celebration feels like a fleeting dream. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has worked with us over the past 4 years, including producer Shoji Kawamori, the exhibition team, the architecture team, the EXPO association, and many other people involved since we first became part of the project in the summer of 2021! And thank you to everyone who came to visit our pavilion! The Expo has come to a close, but we are now moving on to the next phase - dismantling. Our office has already begun taking on a new challenge with the pavilion, working on the repurposing projects. We will continue striving, and try our best to preserve and develop this legacy. 万博閉幕まであと2日。 私たちがデザインした「いのちめぐる冒険」館は、海の資源を使用することで、普段目に見えない問題に目を向ける状況を作り出し、建築やデザインを通して、皆が一般的に「地球環境を回復に向かわせる思考」を持つことができる世界を目指しています。これが私たちの「リストラティブデザイン」による挑戦です。 So, just 2 more days and this wildly enthusiastic festival closes its door. The signature pavilion “LIVE EARTH JOURNEY” we designed utilises marine resources to create an environment that draws attention to problems that are usually invisible, and through architecture and design, we aim to create a world in which everyone can naturally “think about restoring the global environment.” This is the challenge we are taking on through “restorative design”. The Expo is a valuable place, a moment, and a piece of history, where people from all over the world get to take home something that can only be found in that very place at that very time. It is a stage for a celebration that will only last for six months.
