Plastic Studio – Now at OF GOODS⁠ ⁠ Plastic Studio steht für sichtbare Kreislaufwirtschaft. Wir verwandeln Kunststoffabfälle – etwa abgelaufene medizinische Masken – in langlebige Designer-Möbel und Alltagsobjekte. Im Kaiserhaus Of Goods präsentieren wir Produkte aus lokal recyceltem Kunststoff, die zeigen, wie aus Abfall neue Materialien entstehen können. @of.goods invited me to visit the @kaiserhaus.ch for the first time in September 2024, when it was still a construction site. That’s where I met @pascalheimann_ from the @fairfashionfactory_basel . He told me about his vision of building a local knitting factory. 2025 we traveled together to a knitting machine manufacturer in Germany, and since this February, the knitting machine is now running in Basel. It feels like a full circle moment that this scarf is now available at the Kaiserhaus under the name “of Goods.” The design features symbols like hearts, peace signs, doves, and smiles, all small reminders of a more caring, peaceful, and sustainable world. 💜🕊️🙂 The scarf is locally produced in Basel, made from deadstock wool from Valais with a small amount of merino from Italy. And when you no longer want to wear it, pass it on or compost it. It is made entirely from natural fibers. Circular, as it should be! Price: 150 CHF

Tilde – Now at OF GOODS⁠ ⁠ Wer steckt hinter Tilde?⁠ Ich bin Eva und ich mag nicht nur schöne, zeitlose Dinge, ich mag es auch, diese selbst zu erschaffen. Schön ja, aber handgefertigte Produkte dürfen für mich keine «Museumsstücke» sein. Sie sollen zu Lieblingsstücken werden, die du täglich benutzen möchtest.⁠ ⁠ Warum eigentlich Tilde?⁠ Die Tilde hat viele Bedeutungen. Das Zeichen steht zum Beispiel für ‹ähnlich› oder ‹ungefähr›. Und das sind auch die vom Atelier Tilde in Bern produzierten Produkte: Sie ähneln einer maschinell fabrizierten Form nur und kein Produkt ist wie das andere, sondern eben nur ungefähr. Meinen Produkten soll man die Handarbeit ansehen: Hier eine kleine Unebenheit, dort eine kleine Asymmetrie – genau dieses ‹Unperfekte› macht den Charme meiner handgefertigten Produkte aus.⁠ ⁠ -- ⁠ ⁠ Who is behind Tilde?⁠ My name is Eva, and I don’t just love beautiful, timeless things—I also love creating them myself. Beautiful, yes, but to me, handmade products shouldn’t be “museum pieces.” They should become your favorite items that you’ll want to use every day.⁠ ⁠ Why Tilde, exactly?⁠ The tilde has many meanings. For example, the symbol stands for “similar” or “approximately.” And that’s exactly what the products made by Atelier Tilde in Bern are: they merely resemble a machine-made form, and no two products are exactly alike—they’re just approximately the same. NINA YUUN – Now at OF GOODS⁠ ⁠ NINA YUUN verbindet Schweizer Präzision mit koreanischer Handwerkskunst. Im Kaiserhaus Of Goods zeigen wir limitierte Nubi Westen, speziell für diesen Ort kuratiert. Jede Weste ist für Jahrzehnte gedacht: reparierbar, langlebig und emotional wertvoll. Kund:innen wählen zwischen Bio-Baumwoll- oder Schweizer Wollfüllung sowie ausgewählten Oberstoffen. 2025 wurden Nubi Westen im Museum Rietberg gezeigt. 2026 wird das Swiss Nubi Vest Projekt von der Berner Design Stiftung unterstützt.⁠ ⁠ -- ⁠ ⁠ NINA YUUN merges Swiss precision with Korean craftsmanship. Wir arbeiten mit textilen Überproduktionen der Modeindustrie (Pre-Consumer Waste) und transformieren unverkaufte Kleidungsstücke in wieder tragbare Produkte. Mode verstehen wir dabei als Diskussionsraum, in dem unsere Arbeit Beziehungen zwischen Produktion, Distribution und Konsum schafft.
