Thank you to everyone who joined us for the ODDspace launch on Friday 17 April. We opened our doors in Helsinki for an unofficial official evening, welcoming members, partners, collaborators, early supporters and the curious to step in and experience the early stages of our space. A big thank you to all the artists, creators, companies and individuals who shared their skills, knowledge and time. We truly appreciate you being part of the beginning of our journey. On the 17th of April, around 300 of you came together for our unofficial official launch in our new space in Vallila, Helsinki. Curious thinkers, creators and makers joined us in the space and helped bring it to life. Here are some moments from that day. The Friday evening filled with conversations, talks, performances, an EP launch and unexpected interactions. Thank you to everyone who came and shared your energy with us. Thank you for your feedback and reflections, and to those who chose to stay connected with the space after experiencing it. If you missed the opening of the exhibition, the exhibition Smell the Art is ongoing until the 8th of May, open from 16.00 to 20.00 on weekdays. Ink & Relax ✨ An evening of magical & intuitive ink painting, soft conversations, creative flow, and shared stillness. EMBRACE OF WATER Somatic Movement & Alchemy Crystal Bowls Embrace of Water is a somatic immersion that moves through the senses into the aliveness of the body. The space is held gently by the Alchemy Crystal Bowls by Lila and with Somatic Guidance by Anni. This Thursday, Smell the Art closes at Oddspace, and we are closing it with an evening worth to remember. Here’s what’s unfolding next week 👇 Monday: Begin the week with a gentle intuitive ink painting session, where you can unwind and let creativity flow without expectations. Tuesday: Drop into a somatic sound journey, guided by movement and the resonant frequencies of crystal bowls. Wednesday: Midweek, recharge through a light, art-infused yoga session, blending breath, body, and sensory inspiration. Thursday: Close the series with an intimate art salon, opening conversations on the future of creativity and cultural work. ODDspace Launch — April 17 It begins in the early evening, around 17:00, and unfolds all the way into the early morning, closing around 04:00. What happens in between is not a typical event, but a layered introduction to a new kind of cultural space. ODDspace opens as a creative co-working and cultural hub : a place designed to bring together ideas, people, and disciplines that don’t usually meet. The evening starts in conversation: panels, discussions, and encounters with key players including the City of Helsinki, FYRA, and the ODDfest team. It’s an open invitation into the thinking behind the space, why it exists, what it aims to unlock, and how culture, work, and community can intersect in new ways. From there, the experience shifts. At the core of the night is Smell the Art, a multi-sensory collaboration between ODDfest, ARTISHOK.me, and Helsinki Perfume Club, created in partnership with The Blue Verve Gallery. Five artists, five perfume brands, and a group of musicians/DJs come together to build a dialogue between visual art, scent, and sound. Each work extends beyond what is seen ——— it carries an atmosphere, a fragrance, an emotional frequency. You don’t just observe the art, you move through it. You smell it. You hear it. You experience it as a whole. The intention is simple but radical: to activate perception beyond the visual, and to explore how art can be felt across multiple senses at once. This is not just an exhibition, but a format ——— one that will expand further during ODDfest in June. The April 17 launch acts as a first encounter, an intimate entry point into a broader program where art becomes immersive, alive, and participatory. Later at night, the exhibition and the party begin to merge. Sound takes over, energy builds, and the boundaries between disciplines dissolve. A full lineup of artists and DJs carries the night forward, including a new EP launch by @yeshraff and a special sonic presentation by Antti Hevosmaaous flow of sets that move the space into its final hours.
