We are thrilled to share that our friends Duca and Roberta from Odd Life Crafting have chosen NANNI for one of the biggest decisions in their 43‑ft aluminium exploration sailboat build: the propulsion system. In 2026, selecting how a vessel moves is more complex than ever. From diesel to fully electric and hybrid alternatives, every option comes with trade‑offs. After extensive research, supply challenges, and countless considerations, Duca and Roberta went with a NANNI N4.80 diesel engine for its reliability, global serviceability, efficiency, and trusted long‑range performance. The N4.80 is a 79 HP, 4‑cylinder marine diesel engine built on a proven Kubota base, designed specifically for sailing yachts and displacement vessels. Featuring E‑CDIS direct injection, it delivers strong low‑RPM torque, excellent fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions.
