When 4 years ago I started Casa Lawa, I didn’t know yet where this would go, but I knew for sure one thing: I loved hosting and the abundance of food on the table.
4 years later, I found myself hosting a beautiful dinner during Design Week as I slipped into
@masterchedo &
@nataliacriado home for an intimate dinner with
@oddbird 🍷🏠🩶🍝
We opened windows, nibbled on fresh mozzarella from Campagna, la treccia, I went to get flowers at the nearest chiosco, we played aperitivo playlist, together with Natalia we set the table with her gorgeous objects, name cards attached to vegetables as they should l, everything feeling like spring had just arrived that afternoon.
I love making cocktails, so we served a spring spritz with
@oddbird and the plates kept moving — fior di cetara, warm zucchini flowers with ricotta & anchovies, torn mozzarella with piennolo tomatoes, asparagus with bottarga & burnt lemon, agretti and strawberries
Then pacchero vesuviano, four tomatoes cooked down until deep and sweet by two chefs!
And a mille-feuille to finish, soft chantilly, strawberries, layers falling apart as they should
I love dinners when nothing is too perfect, people are loud, tables are messy, full of color and long, good conversations till midnight.
