ATTENTION FELLOW RECORD STORES!!!
BEWARE OF THIS SCAMMER. Their name/photo and location will change but their script and videos are the same. Total scam, I conferred with another store in downstate MI and they just ask for more money to cover the difference for extra shipping. Luckily, I sniffed it out but I hate to see my comrades taken advantage of.
I feel like they claim to be from somewhere that's somewhat far enough away that you won't make the trip out but close enough that it *might* make sense for them to pick you to ship to....
The @walthamburgerfoundation uses most of our funds to make donations to animal rescues such as our good friends at @savingsnouts in Kaukauna. However, when we created the foundation, we made sure a part of our mission was to support artists as well.
For 2025, we are proud to have been able to donate $1000 to our friends at @crutchofmemory out of Appleton, WI. They have their irons in many fires in the art world with just a few being a record store, a recording studio, a record label, a zine, being recording artists and touring musicians, and much more. I've seen firsthand for years how they operate and am proud to call them friends.
Happy new year everyone and thank you for supporting the Walt Hamburger Foundation! We're looking forward to some cool stuff in 2026 and beyond!
Hey there people of Appleton-
I’m very much looking forward to celebrating the release of All of My Important Things in my home on Saturday. Come to The Photo Opp at 7:00 to hear me play songs and @odd__note spin records.
Experimental photographer and expert (and who photographed the album cover!!) @beaver1801 will be giving a short artist talk. 💖
And- because solidarity is more important now than ever, I am also PROUD to welcome WI gubernatorial candidate @francescahongwi to speak at this event.
So please come, bring a friend, have a snack (made by me because Food & Music are amongst the top 2 of my favorite things), and have a good time in the warmth of this community.

It’s a Louvin Brothers kind of morning at the ole homestead today! I picked up this gem over a year ago from my buddy @odd__note and well, it’s been a busy year with family life 😃 But I’ve got a long weekend on the horizon and plenty of free time to work through my large backlog of records. Looking forward to filling the air with a plethora of warm analog sound waves over the next few days and letting them fill every crevice of this home 🏡- that, and yard work - yahoo for summertime!
Swipe for some samples of this highly sought after country- gospel masterpiece. Let that cool water cleanse your soul! 🤙 ☕️

I went home for my birthday over the weekend and stopped at @odd__note . In some way shape or form, @amospitsch opened my mind up to accept all of these records. From @manic_exposure playing the iconic bass riff from sieges conform between songs at tenement shows (I still play this song at least monthly and when I’m too angry or frustrated to put into words), and amos getting into the weirdest records and genres ever and challenging me to appreciate them along with him (yacht rock still sucks though). I owe a lot of my tastes and open mindedness to my time spent on long drives, late nights at home playing records in his recently bought pile, and of course our hours together digging. If there’s a list of important people in my life amos is quite near the top. His shop is in Appleton, wi and online. It’s open today. It’s the most curated and stacked store I’ve ever seen. From sealed obscurities to beat copies of holy grails…he’s got it all. Of course he does. He always did. Thanks for all you do, amos. And thanks to the friends I got to see while I was there. You made returning back to a complicated place feel easy and gentle. Below is the list of things I picked up. Order something from the shop. It also closes nightly I believe so as not to be overwhelmed with orders and to restock in between. If you can’t find something this store, I think your tastes are too rigid.//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////Siege - Siege

I fucking love K.D. Lang. I think she has one of the most incredible voices I've ever heard. But I'm still convinced that no one can sing that Hallelujah song and not make me wanna claw my ears off

PART 1: ‘Better Out Thank In’ quietly sold out this last winter in Appleton, with a couple folks excitedly buying the last copies at a show I played. I didn’t do anything to mark its passing because I rarely do anything on time. Or rather, I do it in my own time.
Here is a lil dump of the time period from recording the album, featuring all my heroes who helped. ❤️❤️❤️
@black__thumb and @amospitsch helped with some of the writing and added so much good shit to the basic tracking. @poor_ridley and @h_p_ayyy joined in for a lot as well, adding stuff from guitar solos to vibraphones to Ridley inventing some of the drum parts he’s played with me live .!! (The pic of Ridley is from when we saw Jawbreaker on his first @dusk_on_instaglam tour, ha!)
The beautiful Younggren twins- not on insta but if you know them you love them - came up and Luke played a way better Rhodes part than anyone else could on ‘Make the Darkness Go Away’.
The pic of me in my @temenent shirt is from a couple days after I got a terrible head injury that would be a defining rain cloud over some of the tracking.
I’ve got so much more I could say and show, but this is what I could reduce into 10 pictures. I am so beyond grateful for this community of people who accept my flaws and help me try and emphasize my strengths. I love you all.
More soon but that’s all I’ve got for now. ❤️
