Osmotic Opening April 17, 5:00 - 8:00 PM THE BLANC, 15 East 40th St, New York, NY 10016 Presence is no longer self-evident. In an age where digital identity accumulates in parallel to, and often inseparable from, the bodies we inhabit, the question of what counts as being here has become increasingly tentative. This exhibition brings together fourteen artists whose practices interrogate the osmotic boundary between the physical and the digital self. Through installation, sound, and interactive media, their works trace the artifacts of lived experience that escape our attention: the vibrations that move through us unnoticed and the data that outlasts the moment that generated it. Drawing on embodied cognition and archival theory, the works assembled here propose that presence is never singular. It is accumulated, layered, and already in excess of itself. 내 안의 또 다른 나: 자아 실험실 <26.1.11, National Science Museum of Korea> I had the honor of leading my first AR filter workshop at @nsmscience , as part of the <Lab From New York> exhibition. After a brief introduction to social media filters and augmented reality, participants designed their own filters on Canva and brought their creations to life through TikTok Effect House. My goal for the workshop was to encourage participants to explore new mediums of self-expression beyond physical reality, and to explore the concept of persona and its interplay with identity. This was definitely a learning experience, but I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity and for everyone who participated. I hope the workshop created space for playful experimentation and marks the beginning of more to come! 📸: @jennwchoi

LOVE ME, 2025 Acrylic, Polycarbonate film, Fishbowl, Microcontroller, LED Display, Keypad, Unreal Engine, Digital Avatar LOVE ME is an interactive installation that embodies the internet-born modern tragedy of the loneliness epidemic. It explores how digital validation transforms identity into performance, eroding authenticity within endless algorithmic feedback loops. Existing between the physical and the virtual, the work reveals the paradox of intimacy and isolation that defines our pursuit of connection. — Started off the new year with an incredible opportunity to participate in the <Lab From New York> exhibition at the National Science Museum of Korea @nsmscience (1/6–1/11). Thank you to my colleagues and to everyone who made this experience possible!

NYU ITP In the current day and age, new technologies are deeply embedded in our daily lives. It redefines the relationships that we create – spanning from the constant stream of data collection that we serve, to labor performed by machines – technology casts new perspectives on the relationship between individuals, society and the environment. < Laboratory from New York >, an exhibition curated and presented by artists participating in the Interactive Telecommunications Program(ITP) of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, is their take on new relationships fostered by the development of novel technology. Through each piece the artist presents creative scenarios that new technologies open doors to; the audience gets a sneak peek into the world that could be. Through this exhibition, the audience gains a fresh perspective on how our relationships amongst one another and with the world can take new shapes and forms with the progression of technology. The experiments posed in these series of works are not merely a prediction of the future, but a close examination and questioning of the seismic changes that are taking place right before our eyes. <Veinsight> In moments of connection, attraction, or vulnerability, our pulse quickens before our conscious mind processes these feelings. This wearable piece explores the metaphor of “wearing your heart on your sleeve”, reimagining it through technology as a tangible manifestation of internal states. - Collaborators: @wvwilliam_x & @odd.i.e Photography: @jessiehaseyes Model: @yahleh #wearable #wearableart #wearabletech #jewelry #physicalcomputing

This is not an end, but an evolution. <Welcome to My Funeral> is a memorial for the death of a singular, fixed identity and a radical celebration of our fluid, fragmented existence. It embraces multiplicity as a form of liberation of the self, and a reclamation of autonomy in the age of fluid identities. A mourning. A rebirth. Not an ending, but a beginning. - special thank you to @anodromedan and @jessmakes.jpg for making this project possible, and to @blankensmithing and @exsstas for the tutorials that made diving into TouchDesigner so exciting. Can't wait to keep experimenting with @touchdesigner ! #immersiveart #artinstallation #newmediaart #interactiveinstallation #cyberfeminism #digitalidentity #posthuman

“she wears a subtle, melancholic sadness” - AI-generated images of my archived posts, created in response to @madebymots ’ video installation ‘AI & Me’, which I got to experience at the 2025 Tribeca Immersive Program. The machine had read me as “young Asian woman sad face” In an age where selfhood is increasingly constructed and easily distorted online, I became fascinated by how the AI had interpreted me. This project reflects on the performative and curatorial nature of social media and unveils the ‘self’ as seen through the machine’s gaze. Revisiting my old posts through its lens became a way of facing myself from the outside, through the eyes of the algorithm. - These images were created as part of my final project for @molly__soda ’s class, ‘Performing Online’.

💖 Wear your heartbeat on your sleeve this Valentines Day 💖 “Veinsight” consists of a ring and cuff that transform the wearer's heartbeat into a visual rhythm of pulsing LED lights. By making the heartbeat visible, this piece creates an intimate dialogue between the wearer's internal state and the external world. The synchronized LED lights serve as a bridge between the private and public self, encouraging a reflection on emotional vulnerability and the ways we choose to reveal or conceal our true feelings in relationships. “Veinsight” was created by ITP students Jin @odd.i.e and Will @wvwilliam_x for their physical computing final project.
