sharing this collective piece with @giuliadelgobbo and @ocu.aranda presented as a sound installation on tape at @vanabbemuseum for @bacchanalia_party . first time working with field recording and poetry, and really excited to continue merging the realms of words and noise. thanks to those special people i had the pleasure to play with <3 What happens when language ~> voice, digitality/materiality meet? “ClearIllogic” is a sound piece with a written –then vocal– poetic trigger at its core. A dialogue that strives for the deconstruction of its own sense, soaking into phonetic weirdness, field recordings and noise.
51 seconds designed to be reproduced in loop, prompting the listener to a continuous effort to rebuild the narrative process, as the repetition of detectable sounds (and not) become a homogeneous trance. you can find ClearIllogic on ~> bandcamp: /track/clear-illogic soundcloud: /xOuMENtoi4BP239Vip Cover Art by @verona_gr ☆ Original Pics by Almicheal Fraay

[eng] When I was about eight years old, after school, I would go with my mom to watch my brother during his swimming lessons. There was a small viewing room to follow the little swimmers. Perfect for the moms who went there, but for an eight-year-old sibling, it was unbearable. “Go down to the reception and ask if they can lend you a pen and paper to draw, Enric.” So, I went down to ask, and what a surprise when the girl gave me a permanent marker instead of a pen. Wow, I thought only grown-ups could use permanent markers! Along with the marker, the girl gave me a sheet of graph paper. Super excited, I went back upstairs and sat on the floor to draw. I don’t remember much more about that day, but I do remember how, without really trying, I traced four squares to make a bigger one, leaving space for three spikes and two lines in the corners. And that’s how Paff was born!

Nothing is lost, everything changes Since I started drawing circles, my work has constantly evolved, from unexpected doodles to a circular mold, from the circular mold to compass and pencil, from pencil to pen, from pen to brush (Ocularinth), from brush to digital pen, from black and white to color, from digital pen to screen printing, and from screen printing to endless exploration. And also internal transformations: from drawing to disconnect to finding meaning, from finding meaning to exploring it, from exploring it to understanding it, and from understanding it to always learning more. And sharing all of this with others, meeting amazing people, and collaborating with artists. Even presenting a book about it all. An adventure where I discovered other creative paths that excite me just as much as making Ocu: Newtro keyboard drawings, etc. Paff stories of an alien Letters, Abstract art, Sound art. Who would have imagined it seven years ago! Ocularinth can’t contain everything in one space. Very grateful for all the circles I’ve made so far and for those that are no longer mine. This project has helped me grow a lot as a person. Happy with everything. Thank you so much Enric (Ocu) Aranda ocu.aranda
