WHAT A DAY! We’re still riding the high (and catching our breath) from yesterday, but first, a heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing community right across Australia 💙🩷
Our third year at the Mother’s Day Classic was something special, thanks to every runner, walker, and supporter who showed up for ovarian and breast cancer research.
Huge shout out to the whole MDC team, the amazing volunteers, the sponsors, suppliers and media partners who make the magic happen. More than 90 events around the country - simply EPIC!
There’s still time to make an impact! Fundraising pages are still open for any final donations. We can't wait to find out the final fundraising total in a couple of months' time.

Big day. Good day. What a great bunch of humans bringing the teal zeal and turning up for ovarian and breast cancer research, on Mother’s Day. @ocrf@mothersdayclassicaus 💚🩵💚
Ovarian cancer is now considered a common cancer for Australian women — almost 2,000 are diagnosed each year, yet fewer than half survive beyond five years.
Around 40% of ovarian cancer cases are diagnosed in women under 60. Alarmingly, rates in women under 45 have risen by more than 60% over the past two decades.
I’m proud to support the Witchery OCRF White Shirt campaign. We need more research to find ways to detect it early and treat it better. 100% of gross proceeds from every shirt sold go to the OCRF to support medical research. This White Shirt can help end ovarian cancer.

Today is World Ovarian Cancer Day! Join us as we raise our voices to demand better for everyone affected by ovarian cancer, the most lethal gynaecological cancer.
In the past year, ovarian cancer was reclassified as a common cancer for women in Australia.
This is urgent.
We must have:
More research.
Better outcomes.
Faster progress.
The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation recently announced $4.6 million in research funding; we’re lobbying for more investment from the Australian Government and working with colleagues around the world to accelerate progress.
Research is where the answers lie. The OCRF is currently funding 27 projects in medical research institutes around the country, with over $7 million in grant commitments. Every penny of this was made possible by fundraisers, donors and partners who share our vision of a better, brighter future for all those impacted by ovarian cancer.
Share this post, donate, sign up for our newsletter, join our campaigns and call on the Australian Government to direct more funds for ovarian cancer research.
Let’s create a brighter future for women and girls now, and be part of a valuable legacy for generations to come.

Let’s bring some teal zeal this Mother’s Day and step up for ovarian cancer research!
We’ve seen how investing in research changes outcomes. Since the Mother’s Day Classic began, the survival rate for breast cancer has increased from 84% to 93%.
It’s time for ovarian cancer to see that change. Overall survival remains at 49%, trailing many other cancers. Your support can help fund the research that can change survival statistics.
This Mother’s Day, every step counts. Support the ovarian cancer cause – add a little teal and help change the outcomes for this terrible disease.
There's still time to register, link in bio.

The OCRF will distribute its largest-ever funding pool of $4.6 million in 2026 – highlighting growing community support for ovarian cancer research.
Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful donors, we are excited to announce $2.6 million in new grants to support eight projects through the OCRF National Research Grants Program.
This includes two major grants for high-priority projects plus six new proof-of-concept grants to enable high-potential projects to establish foundational data.
A further $2 million is earmarked for an expanded Partnership Grants program to be announced soon.
The total $4.6 million commitment reflects the direction set out in our Research Impact Strategy 2025-30: more, better, faster.
Congratulations to all the recipients. We can’t wait to see what this funding will help you learn and do.
Together we can overcome ovarian cancer.

Yesterday, friends of the OCRF, Witchery and St Agni united in white to celebrate the 18th Witchery White Shirt Campaign in style mimi’s in Sydney.
Crafted in quintessential Witchery style, it was a beautiful day in every way, underscored by a deeply serious and urgent call to help end ovarian cancer.
On behalf of the OCRF team, a huge thank you to all the celebrity ambassadors, media and other supporters who give their time and influence so generously to support this campaign and the cause. Also, to this year’s guest designers St Agni for their support and designing such a gorgeous collection of shirts.
A huge shout out to our beloved OCRF lived-experience ambassadors who selflessly share their stories with courage and vulnerability to help change the story for other women, especially this year’s featured ambassadors Vanja Wilson, Calum Wilson, Dr Emma Bolderson and Georgie Beck.
And of course, the biggest thanks to our amazing partners Witchery, who pour their heart and soul into this iconic campaign, year after year. Their genuine passion for the cause, belief in our work and determination to stay the course, is why this campaign has achieved real progress for ovarian cancer, donating $18 million to the OCRF since 2008.

Witchery is proud to again work with Robin Penty, CEO of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. Since 2023, Robin has led efforts to close the funding gap in ovarian cancer research, bringing focus to awareness and progress.
“The current reality for women with ovarian cancer is incredibly challenging,” Robin says. “From early symptoms - and there may be none - to diagnosis can take up to a year. As a result, women are often distressed, concerned and confused.”
“The Witchery White Shirt Campaign has supported medical research in ovarian cancer for over 25 years. The impact cannot be underestimated.”
Every White Shirt purchased helps fund vital research. Every shirt becomes part of the progress.
This White Shirt can help end ovarian cancer.
What a kick-off for this year’s Witchery x OCRF White Shirt Campaign 🤍!
I’m thrilled to join the party celebrating the launch of the 18th annual Witchery White Shirt Campaign, in creative collaboration with Byron Bay-born label St. Agni @stagnistudio 🌊…
Action fuels hope. And through this incredible campaign, @witcheryfashion has funded nearly $18M for ovarian cancer research that simply would not have happened without them.
To date, Witchery’s support has helped @ocrf to fund more than 60 research projects across 22 Australian medical research institutions, with more to be announced soon!
Five OCRF-funded projects have moved into clinical trials across Australia and internationally.
Too many gorgeous humans to thank🫶. Every single one of the special and beautiful faces in front of, and behind, the cameras, has donated their time, energy, star power, and heart, to bring this year’s campaign to life. Warmest thanks to everyone involved 💐!
It’s an iconic campaign for a reason, so get on into a Witchery store before these three stunning designs fly out the door ✈️🩵.
Proud to play my part in amongst the glam squad, too. x

Loved visiting Adelaide, Sydney, Canberra for @ocrf this month!
We also had an inspiring road-trip to Wagga Wagga where commentator and author @dokic_jelena stood up for ovarian cancer before sharing her moving story of DV to an audience of 500.
Thank you for your support, Jelena❤️. It was so lovely to see you again!
Wherever I go, the ovarian cancer community is STAUNCH. It’s so great to meet in person🌻.
