Favourite place? Honestly, there are so many incredible spots to choose from in Cowes. Right now especially, every bit of support means the world to local small businesses. We know the street changes have made things a little tricky and parking might be a bit further than usual, but we’re still open and ready to welcome you. You can enter via the front / footpath or the back entry (access off Bass Ave). Our friendly team is here serving up all your beer and burger favourites! Call ahead on 0401 250 977 for takeaway, or to make a booking. It’s been quiet and cosy when we open from 4 pm, and right through the weekend, perfect for a relaxed drink or bite to eat. First weekend of the Cowes streetscape transformation.. and things certainly look a little different out front, but we’re open as usual. Saturday from 12 - 9 pm + Lucky 7 Pour 3 - 5 pm!!! Sunday from 12 - 4 pm Food van menu available for dine-in or takeaway from 12 - 2:45 pm & 5 - 7:45 pm. You can access our Tasting Room via the front footpath or the back entry (off Bass Ave.) We’ll be here pouring beers, serving food, and taking a moment to pay our respects this ANZAC weekend. Come by if you’re around. Walk ins welcome!

Hey Reachers, we’re excited to introduce our new Head Brewer, Jake! All the way from Canada, Jake brings a strong background in brewing pilsners and lagers, and he’s keen to dive into a full range of styles from our hoppy IPAs to rich dark beers! We’re stoked to have him on board. He’s been quietly working behind the scenes over the past few weeks and has already become a key part of the ORB team. Jake’s been hard at work brewing and packaging the beers you’re enjoying now including this fresh Pale, straight off the canning line today. And in other important news, Wayne has officially set a new personal best, perfectly matching the number of 4-pack clips to today’s packaging run. Cheers from all of us!!šŸ»

Paying homage to the deck šŸ» Back in 2016, we started with a humble footpath trading area for 20 people. Then in December 2020, post-COVID, we took pride in building the deck ourselves, making room for another 30ish people… and wow, did we give it a nudge. It’s looking a little tired these days, but it’s got stories for days. From a bit of damage over the years, to the rogue Xmas ball that somehow rolled its way onto the deck. Celebrating new babies, family holidays, engagements, and always a spot for your fur friends. The regular crew who made it their own, that time we were convinced one of our favourite customers had become part of the picnic table, and the cheeky seagulls that claimed our staff’s lunch. It’s been the home of first visits, favourite seats, long afternoons, and plenty of good times shared with our community. The deck’s been a big part of our story! Tomorrow it comes down to make way for the Cowes streetscape upgrade… and while it’s a little bittersweet, we can’t wait to see what’s next and create a whole new chapter of memories šŸ’›

Agg 5 Done šŸ¤ in memory of Dave Fincher. We scored 3–4ft Smiths all day and a few crew definitely wound back the clock surfing Smithies in a rashy. Massive shout out to @surfershelle not only organising the day, merch and everything that goes into it, but also taking out her division which is pretty special and at her new favorite wave. The open final was tight between Harry and Archi, with Harry coming in nice and loose from his warm-up Bev and locking in layback of the day to take the win, sick turn. Big thanks to @oceanreachbrewing for the beach beers and prizes šŸ» Next up – Presso night in a couple of weeks. Grab a ticket to go in the draw for a custom board from Island Surfboard - even if you don’t surf in the comps. Come down for a good early evening, it’s a good warm up for a long winter and you could win a custom @islandsurfboards1969 to anyone that comes on the night. Our Chef, Bear has truly taken our burger game to the next level! The Bear burger is loaded with onion rings, Phillip Island Angus Beef and his signature chipotle aioli (just to name a few ingredients). And then, there’s also the Honey Szechwan Chicken burger (newest special) and the Chicken Bacon Cheese burger! All made with love, available to enjoy in house or to take-away.
