What a super fun night — and something completely new for skateboarding.
@oceanbrown and I couldn’t stop laughing all night, from the red carpet onwards..
I still can’t believe I got drafted to the @xgames_saopaulo Brazil team.
Thank you @bobburnquist for believing in me — that means so much.
Since I was little, I’ve always had a deep love for Brazil and its people.
Even though I’m British/Japanese and have mostly lived in the USA.. I’ve always felt such a strong connection to the soul energy and people of Brazil. It’s a place that has always had a special place in my heart.
I’m beyond motivated to represent my team and a country I truly adore. <3
This is a whole new journey for skateboarding and action sports.
New things always come with challenges, but change is important if we want to grow.
I really believe the XGL can help spread the beauty, energy, and awesomeness of what we do to more people around the world.
I can’t wait for @xgames and to go all in for Brazil / São Paulo.
Can’t wait to represent São Paulo and see you all there!!!
