Yep, that's me you'll hear very briefly during the recent NPR All Things Considered podcast. We talked for 20 minutes about treasure hunts and their history, but they only used a single quote from me, which certainly wasn't my best snippet. 😆

One year ago today, our dream of a Double R neon sign became a reality. Thank you to the hundreds of fans who helped make that dream come true!! @vvisterialodge helped us light it up for the first time with their cover of the Fantomas version of the Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Theme.

Facebook reminded me that 3 years ago, my Bearded Buddies and I were out in LA filming Domino Masters. This crossing field that I designed and Junior implemented is one of my favorite shots in the show. It fell so perfectly to reveal the date!
Sometimes the littlest discoveries are so entertaining. I've always been fascinated by the beautiful, tall tree photo featured in the Twin Peaks pilot episode. It only appears in the pilot. Rough facsimiles are used later. Until yesterday, it was only the Twin Peaks Visual Soundtrack from Japan that offered a glimpse of the hand-tinted photo's originals (top right). Yesterday I discovered another photo, and in this one, you can tell there are PEOPLE and maybe horses in the photo as well. Cool!
Remembering Catherine Coulson on what would have been her 80th birthday (born October 22, 1943). Five years after she passed, @frederick_elmes dedicated his cinematographers lifetime achievement award to her, and I don't think a lot of people saw his speech, so am posting this snippet.
Went to @thelittletheatre last night to see David Lynch's Eraserhead (1977). Over the next week, they've got a few classic spooky films showing as well. More importantly, they announced that Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me will be showing in early December. Yay!
October is the perfect month to share this Venn diagram I made showing what actor played what Universal monster. So interesting to see the overlap. Lon Chaney, Jr., certainly played a bunch! @universalstudiosmonsters@universalmonstersuniverse
Still so proud of how the mini Double R sign that I made turned out. I hope the local North Bend, Washington, woman who won it a month ago is enjoying it!
This week, I made a great discovery. Don Tift, former co-owner of the Mar-T Cafe (now @twedescafe ) and later owner of Tift Haus (now Pour House Bar and Grill), was in a movie! Don appeared in an uncredited role in the 1981 film Continental Divide, starring John Belushi and Blair Brown (more recently known from the TV show Fringe). A single scene from the movie was filmed at the old railroad depot in Cedar Falls, WA, just 15 minutes south of North Bend. Another scene in the film was shot at Crystal Mountain near Mt. Rainer.
It's one week until the lighting of the brand new, fan-funded Double R neon sign at @twedescafe in North Bend, Washington. I made a one-third scale, LED-based replica for the event, and I absolutely love how it turned out.
