Cities are living archives, holding what we build, remember, and forget;
as urban growth accelerates, they become sites of tension between
preservation and reinvention, rootedness and displacement, memory
and possibility. Through the work of Indigenous artists of the Pacific
Northwest, this exhibition grounds placekeeping and placemaking
in reclaimed photographs, textiles, parking lots, neon signage, and the
possibility of once again flourishing salmon—tracing how memory,
survival, and belonging persist across land, objects, and urban space.
